Without any hesitation, Laelynn went back to work on the keyboard of the nearby computer, clacking away with a wry smug behind her mask. "I don't know what's stupider, the fact they cheap-skated their own security robots, or the fact they only had one patrolling. Eheheh.~" Laelynn laughed to herself, memorizing the last of the queso recipe after delving deep into the files. "Hell, in fact.~" Finishing up her deep dive into the database, Laelynn stepped back, flexing her arms within her suit, making a few dramatic poses along the way. "I could probably take ten of those trash cans at once, no problem.~" As Laelynn nodded in self reassurance, she failed to notice the robot she just felled, it's singular eye flickering in a dull light, using the last of it's energy for a single purpose.
"Emergency Protocol Enabled: Calling For Reinforcements!" As the robot stated it's last directive, it's light once again flickering before going silent, Laelynn turned to it, her cat emoji system changing to a surprised "Oh" face. "...Yeah, that's not good..." Without delay, Laelynn sprinted for the door, only for it to close upon her automatically with a heavy slam, and heavy metal bars dropping over the windows! As the rhythm of metal footsteps now charged it's way through the nearby hallways, Laelynn realizedn this wasn't any normal security response, this was a kill box! "Shit! I didn't mean that literally! Come on!" She exclaimed in frustration, diving back behind a nearby shipping table, pressing a finger on the side of her helmet, activating her communication system to her semi trusty AI. "P.A.L, we got a problem!"

"Yes Miss Morbane, what seems to be the issue?" "I've gotten in over my head here, there's more security than I thought and I'm trapped. Can you override the plant's security system and get me out?" "Of course, Miss Morbane. I will need a small amount of time." As Laelynn said this, she heard the footsteps of the nefarious clankers spreading out in multiple directions, their orders now seemingly have changed from protecting the plant, to a hunt and destroy move. Lovely.~ As one of the robots stepped in march, it found itself directly in front of Laelynn, who still kept her cover under the computer desk. Remaining perfectly still, Laelynn slowed her breath, and with that, she saw the robot take a few more steps, leaving her to think she was safe...oh, how wrong she was.
The robot immediately turned after it's adjustment of position, and tilted it's torso down, revealing it's ominous, glowing red eye, staring Laelynn dead in the face as it went to aim it's gun. "Target detec-!" The robot guard only could complete a fraction of their statement, before Laelynn suck both of her razor sharp ether daggers directly into it's face, the sound of breaking metal and loose circuits ringing through the air! Pulling with all her might to the sides, Laelynn eviscerated the robot's circuits, sending it to fall with a loud clang upon the ground as the attention of the other guards were now drawn to where she was. //Better make it quick P.A.L...!// It was now only a matter of time before the clankers converged on her, and sure, she didn't need to destroy them all, but she did need time.
With a resigned sigh, Laelynn placed a single dagger upon the ground, hearing the robotic footsteps creep ever closer, before looking to the fallen mechanical guard before her. Usually, she considered it taboo to use equipment outside of her own designs, yet, she was willing to make an exception now and again for dire circumstance. Gripping the guard's machine gun with her right hand, and bracing the ether bladed dagger in her left, Laelynn allowed her senses to guide her, leaping out from the desk in a rolling motion before stabilizing into a single knee, gun cocked and loaded towards the closest clanker.
In a single click, she held down the trigger, and while the recoil was wild due to her choice to use only one hand, the effect was efficient enough as she aimed low first, a hail of bullets shooting towards the A.I. and barraging them in rapid succession, leaving them nothing more than a clump of sparking metals. Yet, at that moment, now clear in the open, the A.I. guards turned their attention to her, and in response, she threw the gun, now with an empty clip, at the head of the first one to take aim at her, and the only one with a direct line of sight, immediately sending it's calculations off as it was knocked back, sending stray bullets around her as she dived back down behind another storage crate. //Another down, what next...?// She pondered, mind racing with dozens of calculations, if not hundreds, to ensure the highest percentage chance of her survival.

After a brief time, Laelynn took a deep breath, finalizing her options as she realized how cornered she was. //No place but out, right...?// With that, and a simple arm motion, she's toss a T.A.C over the terminal, sending it near the closest sound of A.I. controlled robots, and she herself kept herself tucked down, calculating the timer within her head. "Annnd...now!" With that, she would leap out from her desk based cover, tossing both of her ether bladed daggers towards the nearest robot's heads, or rather, central processors, rolling into a new piece of cover as her blades hit their mark with a flash of sparks, and another two robots were left falling to the floor limp.~
//Few down, what, nother'a dozen ta'go?~// She mused to herself, still hearing her robotic adversaries draw ever so closer. Soon enough, her little tricks wouldn't be enough, and she needed a way out soon, but where to? And more over, when would P.A.L. finish up their hack? Pushed into a corner, and now without her daggers, Laelynn only had one weapon left, and one she was resigned to use, but desperate times called for desperate measures...

"Bit more ta' go until the timer..." Laelynn vented, noting specifically her T.A.C device that was thrown into the horde. As the robot's continued to advance, now quite aware of her location, Laelynn tapped into her suit's pocket dimension, drawing out "Drannomer," the sword given to her as a gift by her more or less adoptive uncle, Leo. Sure, it lacked the bells of whistles of her normal inventions, and it's weight as a training blade made it unwieldy for someone of her experience, but it was a weapon none the less. "P.A.L, what's the status?!" She whispered, yet still in a frantic tone into her suit's communication system. "Completion of the hack is at 45%, Miss Morbane." "Make it faster then!"
And with that, Laelynn leaped out from her cover as another set of metal footsteps came closer, swinging the sword with all of her might, and crashing it straight into the head of the closest sentry, cleaving through it's head, though, at the cost of damaging her momento as a small crack opened in the metal! Though, in response, mid swing, Laelynn found herself now directly down the barrel of multiple droids, all with rifles aimed at her, after realizing the pattern in her attacks! "...Uh-Oh..." The only words Laelynn could express were those, as the sound of gunshots filled the air, and a barrage of hot lead was sent directly at Laelynn, only for her suit's Aegis system to activate just in time, blocking the majority of blows, but fracturing her helmet, sending a deep crack through the visor she used to display emojis! "Fucking shit!" Diving down under cover once more, Laelynn grasped her chest piece, as while the armor protected her, the impact of the bullets was still easily felt rattling through her body, now breathing heavily from what she presumed to be a fractured rib, deducing from the pain in her sides as she breathed.
Harshly gasping, right arm still gently placed over her chestplate, Laelynn calculated her options as the advance of metal footsteps came ever closer. Individually, these robots were quite basic with an inferior A.I, but together in such numbers, they were actually quite formidable, which Laelynn was now learning the hard way. Hearing sets of more metal footsteps come from both sides of her cover, Laelynn came to realize two things. She needed her daggers back, and she needed to stay back from the robot she tagged with her T.A.C until the blast happened. Closing her eyes, she attempted to make a rough calculation on distance and speed to predict when the robots would gain sight and gun point on her, and reaching a back of the envelope answer, she dashed out with her sword, wildly slashing at the leading robot's hands, and cleaving through them cleanly, yet leaving another crack in the blade gifted to her!
In a flash of ether sparks, she dispelled the blade back into her suit's pocket dimension, reaching out for the rifle, still with robotic hands attached and grasped it as if her life depended on it, which it did, and crouched down with the motion, opening fire and tearing down two more droids before making a mad dash, pushing through the pain to grasp her knives from the robots fallen a few meters away, throwing the gun backwards in the process as a hail of bullets rained down upon her, creating yet more cracks in the back of the armor, and leaving her stumbling from the impact, barely keeping her balance as she tightly gripped her knives, ripped them from the "skulls" of the robots, and dived back into cover once more, only for that position to be immediately assailed once more by a rain of projectiles!

//Damn it, it hurts so much!// Despite adrenaline kicking in, Laelynn was no trained soldier nor a veteran like her father, so even this brief scuffle was bringing her to the limits of pain and endurance. //Just a bit longer, please hurry up P.A.L...// As the relentless march of robots continued to her new location, Laelynn continued counting the seconds, taking a brief peek over the storage box, only to be met with a few stray bullets passing over her head, ducking back down with a satisfied smile behind her visor. "Show time.~"
With the ever so delicate tick-tock of her T.A.C device, Laelynn dived to a new, more intact piece of cover as the sticky sphere attached to the robot at the center finally burned into it's chemical core, exploding violently, immediately tearing apart the security robot and it's close by associates, spreading metallic shrapnel all across the room, even over Laelynn's head behind her place of solace! "Suckers...~" Quite pleased at her results, Laelynn noticed the box she used as cover leaking a few more packets of the sauce she wanted so much, and with a cheeky grin, pocketed a few more into her suit's personal mini-dimension, waiting for the robots to get closer and for P.A.L to do their work as her personal hacking assistant.

//Shouldn't be much longer now...// Musing on how she designed P.A.L, and how they should be almost finished, Laelynn mentally begun calculating how many sauce packs she had, and how many more she needed, rather than the situation at hand, feeling rather safe after the T.A.C went off. After all, there was only a few more left...right...?Without any hesitation, Laelynn eventually found the result to her calculation to determine how many sauce packets should could obtain, and with that, quickly went to work, albeit, obviously pained with trouble.
Crate by crate, packet by packet, she began hoarding her new found treasure cache of rare fast food products, all the while with the formula itself uploaded to her suit, and all for the small, small price of a few fractured ribs and a cracked visor.~ //Another heist done excellent.~ Ta' think some amateurs would have issues with a job like this...// While musing this idea, however, pocketing the last of the packages, Laelynn perked her head up at slight echoes resounding across the facility, immediately causing her sense of danger trigger off, tilting her head in various angles to discern the true source and angle of the potential threat. "P.A.L, you got a read on anything in here?" "Negative, Miss Morbane."

Letting out an exasperated sigh, Laelynn once again dipped into the shadows of night, tucking herself into the most obscured area of the building she could find in short notice, laying low and waiting for whatever may come. //This is becoming more trouble than it's been worth...// With a deep sigh, Laelynn shook her head side to side, not quite sure where to go next. "Well, guess I just gotta' wait..." Pocketing a last few packages of cheese sauce, she pressed her back against the nearest work bench, peering her eyes over to the corners of the room where the sounds came from. "Any news yet P.A.L...?" "No updates so far..." "Alright..." It was a careful moment of deliberation, after all, she was cornered with the incoming robots, and with very little supplies left, and she could only hope...
In the end, Laelynn bided her time with careful, slow breaths, waiting for her chance to strike, and keeping her daggers prepared and ready for anything that may occur. After all, despite her A.I, everything was up to her, whether she liked it or not. "Miss Morbane, enemies detected in close range." "Good to know P.A.L, now, silence." She whispered in a moment of subtlety, preparing herself for what could be her first strike, or final.

Staying close to the desk she took shelter upon, Laelynn kept herself close to the shadow provided, waiting, and listening, picking up the footsteps of at least two or three more of the security drones in bound and now entering the room. //Out of sight, just like a shadow...// Remembering her time on Elseima, Laelynn tucked herself deeper into the leg space of the work desk she was hiding in, ensuring to tuck her body in as tightly as possible, slowly waiting, and hoping that her A.I. companion would crack the complex's security soon. Tucking her legs up while keeping her knives tucked forward, she nervously listened, and then watched as she saw a set of mechanical footprints walk past the desk, unaware of her presence as it searched.
//Just a bit longer, it'll be fine...// Assuring herself, Laelynn held her breath the entire time as the automaton passed to ensure she made as little sound as possible, not moving a single millimeter in the process. Until eventually, inaudible to anyone but herself, her helmet received a simple communication. "Miss Morbane, I've found the back door to their security. Shall I bypass their measures now...?"
