Brave Galaxy is set in a world loosely based on Hiro Mashima’s Fairy Tail and Eden’s Zero. It is a PG-13 or so rated space fantasy RP, and uses a combination of character statistics, which can be acquired via roleplaying and events, and creative freedom to help direct players’ characters. While there is a main storyline, which can be found in the events section, characters are free to interact with others and their environment however they see fit.
Explore the galaxy. Overcome the obstacles in your path. Shape the future of humanity.
In movies whenever a ship crashed people were so quick to react. Somehow while plummeting towards the surface of a planet at ridiculous speeds they'd find the time to buckle up or hug a loved one, but in Manna's case he had done pretty much nothing but scream is head off. He'd only remembered to summon is armor at the last possible moment, and even then the impact with the ground was extremely painful.
In fact, pain and a blur motion were all the boys could recall as the wreckage began to steam in the snow. Having been thrown around the cockpit like a pinball, Manna was lucky to have avoided being impaled our crushed on impact. None of the potential dangers concerned the boy who was still trying to get his wits about him from within the wreckage.
His head was awhirl and his sense of direction had only just returned to him. His ears were still ringing and his hand came to an instinctive rest on his brow in an attempt to ease his throbbing headache. Groaning to himself the boy opened his eyes for the first time since landing on Trillium. It would have been dark in the ruins if not for the hue of red light emanating from him, painting the tarnished cabin an ominous maroon-red. Before Manna could pull himself out from under a loose pile of circuitry, the metal above him began to groan and snap, revealing entirely too much light for the concussed boys liking. Through the harshness of the sun, the boy could vaguely make out a hand coming for him.
Panic took over as Manna was pulled from the wreckage and out onto the plateau. Before Leo could fully remove him from the wreckage, the boy erupted into an unrelenting deluge of fire large enough to engulf himself, Leo, and a large portion of the ship carcass. To anyone late to the scene or viewing from a distance, it would seem the wreckage itself had exploded.
Kicks and punches were thrown soon after the explosion engulfed both of them. Manna bought down forearm after forearm onto Leo's wrist in an attempt to break his grip, while the nose of his sneakers tried to dig their way into his stomach and sides. In one final attempt to gain separation Manna firmly planted his foot on Leo's chest. The red of his right eye began to light up with magic as he used Leo like a springboard, kicking off his chest as a jet of flame shot from the bottom of his shoe, adding to the already obscene amount of fire pouring from his body.
The boy had only one goal in mind at the moment, escape.
Techs Used In Order: Dominion- 3 Type:Utility Range:12m(AoE) Effect: Allows Manna to constantly emit waves of fire from his body (in every direction) for up to 3 posts, dealing continuous (Rank - 1) moderate damage to anyone caught in the flames. This spell has a cool down of 3 posts.
Hot Hand- 2 Type: Offensive Range:15m (AoE) Effect: Allows Manna to generate fire in various basic forms such as jets, missiles, and balls. The fire he creates with this spell is expelled from his body and up to three light attacks can be made in the 2 post duration. This spell has a cool down of 4 posts.
On a second thought, perhaps he should have left the boy to his own devices. While Leo had initially assumed he would have been unconscious, having survived a crash from space, after all, apparently that was not the case. He managed to drag him out of immediate danger before the boy who was evidently also a mage blasted fire in all directions, including point blank in his face. At least it wasn't strong, otherwise it would have hurt quite a bit, burns were generally not all that fun to deal with. Upon the boy's persistent struggle, however, Leo finally recognized that bear hugging a stranger and dragging them out of what could have well been their most prized possession perhaps wasn't the best introduction, he definitely was in desperate need of another cup of coffee.
With such a revelation in mind, he loosened his grip, twitching the corner of his mouth as the boy decided to kick him right in the chest anyway, although it was not enough to stagger Leo substantially. He backed off anyhow, more specifically putting himself between the boy and the door into Sunfall, just in case he had any ideas. "You could have just asked nicely," Leo said, patting out a blond tuft of hair that had begun to smolder before crossing his arms. "Do you have a habit of crashing onto other people's property and then attacking them, or is this a one time occasion?" It wasn't necessarily annoyance, well, it was, but his tone leaned more so on the side of scolding than anger, and certainly there was a fair deal of confusion thrown into the mix. After all, there was plenty of wide open space on the planet of Trillium that was not directly next to someone's house, even a few more meters away would have been better than almost making contact. Then again, there was always the possibility that the crash was nothing more than a ploy to distract them, but that was paranoia speaking.
It was at that moment in time that Eris decided to meander over to the scene, or at least she had approached the window at a casual pace before recognizing the burning hunk of metal in their backyard and deduced that Leo wasn't just exaggerating. Within a few moments she was at his side, coat only half on in her haste. "That is indeed a problem," Eris commented calmly regardless, casting a judgmental stare in the boy's direction that Leo knew was mild compared to what she was thinking. "And who might you be?"
It didn't work. Manna felt every single one of his attacks connect and yet he still hadn't broken the stranger's grip. The blonde-haired man had simply let go. Stumbling backwards and falling into the snow, Manna quickly scrambled back to his feet. He regarded the man with newfound caution, his heart racing at the realization that he wasn't fighting half-starved kids in the Commonwealth anymore. He knew his magic wasn't mage level but nobody had ever taken that much direct fire without so much as flinching. This guy was different.
Shifting his stance in the snow Manna refused to let the confusion show, holding his face in a steely glare as he watched him pat out the ember eating at his hair. The blonde's words confused him. Property? He was pretty sure he'd crashed the ship into a snowbank. Looking around at the wreckage and the scarred ice in the distance, Manna snorted before turning around and rudely shrugging at Leo. "What? Did I fuck up your grass?" He said with another amused snort, still enveloped in his own personal blaze. He spoke Fioran with a slight accent, his tongue taking a moment to adjust to the sudden switch in dialect. "Besides- You put your hands on me first! I didn't hit your house, so I don't see why you felt the need to put your hands on me!"
Movement in the background pulled Manna's attention away from Leo for a moment. A woman, who Manna could only assume to be the wife, came rushing down the steps and out onto the snowy front lawn. Bitter winds whipped Manna's flames to and fro but never came close to extinguishing them. The slight flurry of snow was a reminder to Manna that normal people should be cold, yet the two of them seemed overly accustomed to the harsh climate. What would possess them to live on the side of a mountain forever stuck in winter? Manna thought the snowstorms on his planet were bad, but they at least had spring and a short summer. Here there seemed to be no reprieve from the snow save for the city below them.
With a sigh, Manna ran a hand through his hair, grumbling about stupid questions and creepy mountain people. "Hmf. Shouldn't you introduce yourself before asking someone else's name or are there no manners in Fiore?" He said before cursing at the both of them in Isellium. He didn't like the idea of letting these weirdos know his name, but maybe he could stall until he had a solid escape plan. He figured he'd rush the wife and maybe hold her hostage but he had no idea if either of them had magic, plus his own fire didn't work on the blonde guy and he seemed unphased by his punches. This was going to be a hassle.

He caught the Isellium accent in the boy's words, how interesting. He wasn't merely a child who had consumed some illicit substance for the first time and thought it would be funny to take his ship out for a joyride, then, there was something more fiery in his eyes, a purpose. Granted, Leo also assumed as much based on his brash word choice, in which he merely sighed, shaking his head in disapproval. "You just crashed from outer space. I thought you were unconscious, and if your ship didn't kill you by collapsing in on your seat, frostbite most certainly would have," he answered calmly, a bit perplexed at the boy's perceived beliefs. He was more jumpy than shocked, more wary than exhausted. The longer Leo contemplated, the more he recognized that something more unfortunate than a crashed vessel had landed him there, the only thing left to be determined was what.
Leo's explanation didn't do much to dissuade the boy's temperament, apparently, as he turned to cursing them in a foreign tongue. At least, it would have been unknown to most people who lived on Trillium, but alas they were not the majority. Leo smirked. "Velkommen til Forbundet," he responded in perfect Isellium, not even the trace of a Fioran accent present. "Normally, proper etiquette would dictate me to shake your hand, but since you're so intent on keeping warm that obviously won't be happening. I'm Leo Aglaeca." If the boy had been deceiving them thus far into thinking the accident had been nothing more than a coincidence, it would be at that moment that all would unravel. Leo had for the most part washed away the possibility that he could be an assassin of some kind, however, both his strength and commentary contradicted such. Still, it was a thought that he could not shake, not so early on in the conversation.
Eris was still staring at the boy, although she relented for a moment to cast Leo a wary glance, in which he shrugged. "Eris Sigal. Seeing as you're not going to be getting off the ground in that thing any time soon, why don't you come inside?" she asked, tone unwelcoming in comparison to his own. Without waiting for an answer, she turned back toward the black double doors, not caring to be outside any longer regardless. Leo followed soon after, although his attention was still on the boy, after all he had already proven himself to be violent in some capacity. That being said, his choice was to either accept her invitation or freeze to death, so Leo wasn't overly concerned with tracking what would transpire in that very moment. It was after the fact that questions would need to be answered.
Making a face at the man suggesting frostbite as a possibility, Manna shook his head in disagreement. This guy clearly didn’t understand the full purpose of his fire. Supposedly Fiore was home to many powerful magicians which was half his motivation for venturing to the far reaching federation, but the two Fiorans standing in front of him were frankly underwhelming. The blonde was short and seemed incapable of lifting his scowl, and the other was admittedly hot if not dangerous. Or maybe it was that air of danger that made her hot? Whatever the case neither of them seemed particularly pleased to welcome the strange red head into their mountain lair.
Leo’s linguistic display almost made Manna bust out laughing. Feigning shock at the sound of his native tongue Manna replied sarcastically; ”Hätte dich auf Boscan einen Fick nennen sollen.” With a snort Manna proudly displayed his own diverse pallet of languages. Possessing the ability to speak multiple languages was necessary in a deeply connected galaxy, but still most people spoke no more than two. Given how far they were from the Großreich it was unlikely the mountain hermits were fluent in both Isellium and Boscan.
The blonde introduced himself as Leo, and the babe woman called herself Eris. Maybe they were serial killers after all. For now Manna decided not to trust their supposed identities, after all Leo was the name of a blonde surfer bum, not some half thawed mountain hermit. Still the boy knew he had little choice but to follow them for the meantime. The city was miles away, at the base of a rather steep drop that Manna would rather not navigate alone. Perhaps these two would be willing to have their hover car borrowed and never returned.
”I’m Manna.” He said proudly with a smirk, thumb pointing at his chest. Watching Eris a little too closely as she walked away the boy began to follow, making sure to maintain space between himself and Leo. If that guy grabbed him again he wasn’t sure he’d let go. Inches away from the doorstep Manna was stopped by the owners of the house. Apparently bringing a bonfire inside wasn’t the best idea. ”Just give it a second.” Manna grumbled somewhat embarrassed. Starting a fire was one thing, but putting it out? Well needless to say he was still learning. Focusing hard for a moment the fire began to slow, dimming gradually until nothing but the contained blaze outlining his body remained. The glow in his eye gradually faded into nothing and soon the wisps of fire dancing from his shoulders were gone too. Glacial winds blew his hair to the side, causing his thin hoodie to flap in the frigid breeze. Despite the inhospitable temperature Manna wasn’t phased by it, and in fact barely even registered the wind. Satisfied with his power down, Manna stepped onto their front porch and into the house. Strange place.
Ah, so the boy was more intelligent than he let on, or at least he had enough brainpower to be trilingual, even if he was lacking in other areas. "Vielleicht," Leo responded, corner of his mouth curling into a smug grin although it was ever so brief. In the background, Eris rolled her eyes, well aware of their conversation's content. Despite the boy's rudeness in both his words and form of address, however, there was some mutual understanding to be had. Perhaps his fire did protect him from the elements, but nonetheless he wasn't stubborn enough to refuse shelter. "Just Manna?" he asked in response to the boy's introduction, eyes narrowing for a moment. There were many reasons why people chose to withhold their surnames, but generally ill intent was more likely than the opposite. Leo knew that, of course, he had once done the same. Given that Manna had just crashed a starship, though, he supposed it was rational that he simply didn't want his name slandered with such a mishap.
He was beginning to think more and more that the boy had indeed just suffered an unfortunate accident, no matter what dumb luck or competence he possessed in order to survive the crash. After all, he apparently couldn't even willfully control his magic, given that he had been just about to walk inside still lit up like a firecracker. Eris glared in Manna's direction as the boy approached the door, cuing in that he would not be allowed inside until his flames were extinguished. Yes, scorch marks all over the interior of their home would do no good, especially considering its color scheme. Evidently he was embarrassed by his lack of dominance over his power, but at least it was only a minor nuisance, not something that could turn his world on its head at a moment's notice.
Soon enough they were all inside, doors shut to the frigid weather. Beyond the foyer - a staircase curving on the left side to the upper level's balcony - lay the main floor of Sunfall, marble floors glistening in the light as it seeped through the bowed window that offered a clear view of Trillium out and below. Needless to say, there had been a reason why they hadn't wanted Manna to set fire to everything inside, from the rug where Leo stomped the snow off his boots to the piano that sat just beyond the staircase, bridging the gap between it and the living room beyond, although it was not segmented from the rest of the space. "Welcome to Sunfall," Eris offered in passing as she hung up her coat, what would have been at one point a grand gesture dulled by indifference.
Sucking his teeth at Leo's quick response Manna decided it best not to continue the game. Whoever the blonde was he clearly knew his way around the galaxy. Both his Isellium and Boscan had been impeccable, perhaps even better than Manna's own.
"Verscholen." He muttered in defeat as they crossed into the building. To call the place a house would be a disservice, as the structure Eris referred to as Sunfall was far larger than any house Manna had ever experienced. Hell, it was probably larger than most of the structures in his village. Shoving his hands into his pocket Manna let out an impressed whistle as he took in the breadth of the room. The two of them must have been rich if they could afford a place like this. Though, perhaps they'd gotten it for a discount due to the inconvenient location.
"You named your house?" He asked while giving the couple an equally confused and judgemental once over. He didn't bother waiting to be invited further in, as almost immediately the boy made his way over to the piano. Manna had only ever seen a live instrument once in his life, long ago when a traveling musician put on a concert for the town. Nobody from his village could afford one of their own and so like much of the galaxy Manna got his music from computers and synths. To find one in such good form simply sitting in someone's living room was quite surprising.
Gently Manna ran his hand across its surface, delicate fingers gliding across the smooth wooden face. Tempted his eyes fell to the porcelain keys, a single hand sneakily creeping until his pointer finger hovered just above the keyboard. Giving in to temptation he let his hand fall, pushing the key inward. The boy let a single note ring throughout the house before turning to raise an eyebrow at the strange couple. "How much money do you have?"

Verschollen... no, it couldn't be. For a moment, Leo thought about the boy's strange first impression, not just his utter lack of mannerisms but something beyond that, although he couldn't entirely place what exactly it was. That was paranoia speaking, however, some irrational part of himself that he couldn't bury despite all the years of trying. Manna was just an ordinary teenage boy who had managed to crash land in the most bizarre spot possible, despite the city below and the miles of ice all around them. Nothing more, nothing less.
That still didn't make his demeanor excusable. From tracking a plenitude of snow into the house, which considering he was obviously from Isberg was not exactly an innocent mistake, to immediately opening up and prodding at Leo's piano, he couldn't help but think that maybe leaving the boy outside would have been the better choice. Leo cleared his throat, glancing down at the key Manna had struck. "That's an E," he remarked, irritation creeping into his tone.
There was a moment of exchange between Leo and Eris as the boy decided to ask a... rather pointed question, again proudly proclaiming his complete and utter lack of any personal restraint or courtesy. Clearly, neither of them offered an answer, although even if they had wanted to it wouldn't have been something so easily calculated. Instead, Eris let out a sigh. "Why'd we let him in again?" All he could do was shrug, a mostly aimless gesture that conveyed something between boredom and a sense of what else could have been done. That being said, it was a bit irresponsible to just let a random child clearly from off-world stay in a stranger's home, and although calling the police was what any normal person would do when a crash landing occurred on their property, well, neither Leo nor Eris were fans of the force.
"Do you have any parents to call? Friends to pick you up?" he asked, breaking the awkward silence that had fallen across the room.
