Brave Galaxy is set in a world loosely based on Hiro Mashima’s Fairy Tail and Eden’s Zero. It is a PG-13 or so rated space fantasy RP, and uses a combination of character statistics, which can be acquired via roleplaying and events, and creative freedom to help direct players’ characters. While there is a main storyline, which can be found in the events section, characters are free to interact with others and their environment however they see fit.
Explore the galaxy. Overcome the obstacles in your path. Shape the future of humanity.
Mission Name: Disquiet Mission Class: D Mission Details: The Intelligence Branch has often been closely observed by the Pergrandian government, however for the most part this has been for the mutual benefit of both parties. There has been a new listening post installed on an asteroid near a small extension of the Branch, however, and this has brought some concern that Pergrande may no longer trust our operations in the nation. A small detail is needed to determine the objective of this new listening post. If accepted, you will be given a cover to get into the facility, however after that you will be on your own. Take the utmost precautions, it must not be revealed that you are a member of IMG.
Mission Requirements: Must be a member of IMG and skilled in infiltration. At least one party member must be fluent in Pergrandian.
Mission Objectives:
Successfully infiltrate the listening post
Determine the purpose of the listening post
Exit the listening post
Do not blow your cover
Bonus Objectives:
If the listening post is intended to harm the Intelligence Branch, sabotage it
Kassandra's legs were bouncing with no sign of stopping, clearly showing how nervous she was at the thought of joining in on her first mission for the Intergalactic Military Defense. All she could think about was how this might be her last if she fudged it up somehow, perhaps ending in a more sober manner than just her dismissal. She was supposed to be taking on this mission with a gentleman named Leonidas - also from IMG. Certainly, he must have had more experience than she did, but there wasn't any more information given than his name. It wouldn't be long until her vessel arrived on the asteroid and she didn't go snooping around the ship, asking everyone if they happened to be her partner in crime. And crime isn't too far off from what they were doing, considering that the relationship could be dissolved between the Pergrande government and the Intelligence Branch if they were to be caught during this under the table investigation.
Still restless, Kassie stood up and walked over to one of the windows to look out upon space. They weren't too far out from the asteroid and it was confirmed as another individual approached her as she looked out, "We're almost there, kid. That rock there is the DZ." She followed where his finger was pointed and saw the small asteroid, "It's so small, are we really going to be able to get there without being noticed by anyone?"
The agent laughed, clearly she didn't understand their advancements and competency, "No shit, if we weren't sure about it, we wouldn't be here. Trust the Guild. We know what you're doing. The question that you should be asking is... do you?" Kassandra winced, but the man walked away without awaiting her response. She didn't know how to answer the question, but she certainly didn't feel like she knew what she was doing. However, he could hear the man muttering more nonsense about her ability as he faded away.
She was used to this sort of treatment by now, what difference did it make if the people harassing her were now fully grown adults? Just ignore it and move on, let them live in misery. She sighed, just wanting to get this done so that she could go back home and tell her mother that everything went fine. To her, that's all that mattered. She didn't want to be gone forever, like what happened to Dad. Overhead, the pilot could be heard informing the passengers of their near destination, "Alrighty everyone, going to need y'all to take your seats. We'll be landing here shortly. Upon contact, you will have no more than thirty seconds depart. Do not miss your window, we will not delay departure for any reason." Things became a little more tense as Kassie scuttled back to her seat and buckled up, not sure of how rough a landing this would be. This was it, this was her moment to live up to the expectations.

Oh, Pergrande. Once a distant nation of little consequence to Fiore, now certainly a far cry from such. Wound up in what seemed like an eternal war of subterfuge, it would only be so long before IMG, headquartered in the Federation of course, would be caught in the crossfire. Leo had kept an eye on the Intelligence Branch for some time because of the circumstances, and with the recent attack at the gala even more of his attention had been drawn to the particular wing, so much so when a particular mission had been placed by the branch itself it had become imperative for him to undertake it. At least, he had hoped for such until Eris had reminded him they had a meeting on the scheduled day of convergence. And so, she had agreed to be the pilot in their supposed duo of Pergrandian officers, collecting data with the processors or whatever they were called in the ship while at the same time representing both of them in the conference, a task they often did for each other so much that they were nearly synonymous in terms of viewpoints on such, not like that wasn't necessarily true in the first place.
From the passenger seat of the small starship - one of Pergrandian make and model, and quite different from their own Blackjack - he could see the asteroid. The listening post was covered in the shadows of it, a miniscule landing pad having been cleared for similarly sized modes of transportation. Indeed, it was insignificant enough in the vast space and celestial bodies surrounding it that upon approach it did not loom in front of them until they were almost on top of it. A perfect hideout, had they been dealing with anything other than the Intelligence Branch, which had gotten it's reputation in the first place for having eyes and ears throughout the entire galaxy. "Полковник Дементьев, мы высадились," Eris offered in Pergrandian once they had touched down, saluting him formally before it turning sloppy, a grin crossing her face.
He rolled his eyes, returning the gesture for a moment. "Признанный, Сидорова." The bay door soon opened, and Leo stepped out in full military dress, having taken on the persona of one Colonel Konstanin Dementyev. Whether he had been a man stolen of his name or a fictional character Leo did not know nor had asked, for it made no difference to him. Lying was his second nature, and - completing protocol with a short once over of the vessel they had arrived in - he was inside the facility without a hitch, the major in charge giving him a tour of the various operations and equipment. Some of the more technical bits he didn't quite understand, but it was easy enough for him to surmise the purpose of the fittings being shown, and for the most part it all seemed harmless, or at least not pointed at IMG. Hopefully the more stealthy side of their team, a somebody that went by the name of Kassandra Rose was all he knew about her, would find the small outfit of soldiers distracted enough by his visit to search for whatever they were hiding.
That was, if they were hiding anything at all. There was always the possibility that the listening post was clean, or at least concerning meddling with IMG, but his skepticism doubted the concept were even possible, and his experience regarding subjects pertaining to deceit, particularly espionage in such a case, also affirmed his suspicions. There was hope, yes, but he had never been much of an optimist in his life, and a chance outing with a nuisance of a government wasn't about to change that. Leo, as a matter of fact, hoped there would be something found, for it would eliminate the need for further investigation, not to mention sabotage was much more entertaining than flaunting fake titles and status.
As the ship approached the surface of the asteroid, things quickly became sober on the ship. Those that were just standing around not five minutes prior were now showing their undivided attention to nearby monitors or camera screens of the surrounding area beyond the ship. The two Intergalactic veterans that had given her the briefing and escorted her onto the ship were now by her side, drilling her with how imperative the mission was, what her commands were, and once again that, under no circumstances, were she to reveal who she worked for.
"Y-yes, sir!"
Oh, boy. What a wild ride she had happened to put herself into, but it was too late to reconsider her pledge. She hadn't felt any disturbance on the ship at all before the hanger door opened and the pilot called over the intercom, "Go, go, go! We depart in tee minus twenty-five seconds." She bolted up from her chair and hopped out of the ship, which immediately closed its doors and departed before the full thirty seconds had elapsed. However, it took a moment for her to realize that when it left, it didn't just launch off in an instant. Rather, a cloaking magic or device instantaneously shrouded it, leaving her wondering if they would be doing surveillance from nearby until she completed the mission.
She knew she stuck out like a sore thumb in these sorts of scenarios, not just because of her hair color or her childlike size, but because even if she dressed in covert clothing like she was now, nobody else would match if she were to be discovered. She would have to stick to the shadows, which luckily for IMG and herself, was one of the handful of things she was good at. While she didn't have too much practice with her magic in a serious situation, she was confident enough that she could at least remain concealed for the entirety of the mission. Although a lingering fear kept nagging at the back of her mind, she pushed it off until such a situation arose.
Kassie knew that the other IMG member had arrived shortly after so she quickly took shelter at a safe location near the hanger bay. While the stress of the mission was still on her shoulders, it was such a relief being outside of the ship and on quiet ground. Not much time would elapse before Leonidas's ship would arrive and Kassandra prepared for the worst. More so than the profile shots they had shown her for reference, he was quite a handsome man. He fit right in among the militaristic figures in both stature and fitness. Luckily, he seemed to be doing well enough off. So well in fact, that the crew slacked up on their guard. This was her chance to infiltrate.
Darting among the shadows of the building, she would teleport directly through the wall while playing the lottery of where she would arrive. It wasn't too crazy a location, she figured, since there was a dim conference room nearby that could be seen through the fortified windows. Surely, if it had gone dark, the surrounding areas should be as well. She just didn't want to be locked inside of an open area like a conference room that might have a security alarm and virtually nowhere to hide if someone entered. As luck would have it, she appeared in the middle of a small office-like room. It was warm, many computer machines were running and printers were on standby, but the room was clear. She was in.
{Technique Used}Into the Shadows - 2 Type: Support Range: 10m Reaction Speed: 20 Cooldown: 3 Posts Effect: Delving into the shadows, Kassandra is able to teleport from her current location to another so long as there is a shadow connected to her and the location that she wishes to appear at. Line of sight and egress is not required to teleport.

Parading through the facility was getting boring fast, but nevertheless he persisted, keeping an eye on the minuscule details found in the nooks and crannies where shadows danced. A few passages left unlit, a maintenance hatch that seemed surprisingly accessible, Leo smiled and nodded over each of them, pretending for the moment to be oblivious of the things they were already trying to cover up. Even to a superior officer? Perhaps the major was a pawn of an Armed Forces command, but then what would have been the point of an inspection? He pondered the possibility of rivaling generals within the Union, yet typically they were all rather uniform, due to the nature of Pergrande more than anything. He scoffed at it, for what was life without a little bit of dissent? Quite boring, but he had a part to play, revealing more genuine thoughts could come later.
There was a flickering presence nearby, from a place he pinpointed beyond the confines of the facility to within it. No doubt, the other IMG operative was now on the scene. It brought up a shred of concern, for the major's briefing was about to take a detour in that same direction. Still, such could be prevented, and as the officer brought up that they were approaching a filing room Leo smiled, stopping before he could continue. "I'm positive there will be plenty of time to examine this post's records later on, Major. Tell me, I've heard much about your work and its more... intriguing details," he spoke in Pergrandian, lowering his voice the further he went on. It was certainly enough to make the major pause, and ultimately resign to a new route, though warily.
"Yes, Colonel, well, the listening post is outfitted with some newly pioneered technologies, but it's not terribly interesting without an explanation."
A weak point. Yes, Pergrandians were practically trained like dogs to obey their commanders, and although reluctant withholding information was far different than lying, a difference that could make or break prosecution in many cases. It was clever and bound to have worked on others beforehand, but Leo knew such a game quite well and had often used it to deceive others himself, although he had no qualms with complete dishonesty either. "Isn't that why you're accompanying me, Major? Or would one of your men be better suited for the task? High command wants a... detailed report, the basics have already been assumed," he replied, appealing to the same fault the major had just displayed.
"Yes, sir. Right this way." Perfect. Even if it were not the secrets Leo hoped to find, at least they would be out of the hair of the more covert operative for some time. Provided, of course, she actually knew what she was doing, which yet remained to be seen.
