About Staff

Hello and welcome to BG! By this point, you've likely taken a few looks around the site, or maybe you're just an old member returning, and have realized that much of it relies on the effort put forward by staff. With that in mind, here are some details about what exactly different staff positions are tasked to do, and who is available to contact on the site regarding these roles at present.

Administrator - The administrator's job is to manage the site and Discord server as a whole, and they have the final say in matters regarding both subjects. They are also capable of all the duties of other staff positions, although their work also goes into fixing and improving on the back-end of the site along with dealing with problems that may arise between different members. I, Reya Starlyght, am the current administrator for Brave Galaxy. If you ever need to contact me for any reason, I am available on the site PMs here and on the DMs in Discord, where my username is Reya Starlyght#3104. My timezone is Eastern Standard Time (GMT-5) and I am typically available throughout the day though not in the late hours of the night.

Global Moderator - The global moderator performs the tasks of both the librarian and the mission moderator, along with pricing and approving items submitted to Item Creation. They also help create and define new mechanics for the site. balmung and sachiohanabe are our current GMods. Balmung's timezone is Central Time (GMT-6), and he prefers to be contacted via Discord DMs - his username there is Balmung#3507. Sachio's timezone is Eastern Time (GMT-5), and he also prefers to be contacted via Discord, his tag is Captain Sachio#7963. He's generally available after 5 to 7 PM.

Lorekeeper - The lorekeeper's role is identical to that of the mission moderator, however they also look over the Encyclopedia and are tasked with making sure submitted lore fits with site canon. Along with that, they also help make new official lore for the site. fairchild.txt is our current Lorekeeper, who prefers to be contacted on the site, however for reference his Discord is Fairchild#2576. His timezone is Eastern Time (GMT-5) and he is general available from 1 PM to 3 AM.

Mission Moderator - Mission moderators preside over the Mission Board, where they grade threads, approve arcs and missions, and grade those as well. They may also NPC in particular threads, whether that be for events or otherwise. BG currently has no dedicated MMods, however their duties also fall under that of the Lorekeeper, the GMod, and the Admin.

Librarian - Librarians deal with the mechanics of the site, and have jurisdiction over both the Character Creation board and the Modification board. They are charged with making sure profiles align with the site standards, along with making calls on techniques that may fall outside of rules currently available. BG currently has no dedicated Librarians, however their duties also fall under that of the GMod and the Admin.

Honorary Staff - Honorary staff members are not actual members of staff, however I felt it important to mention them here to make such a distinction. For whatever reason, perhaps they used to be staff or are currently working on a project in the Magic Council, they have been given this role. Generally, members with this role know their way around the site, however please do not defer to them for help if a staff member is needed. This especially goes to matters concerning mechanics.

A little note for staff members and those who may be thinking of joining, staff members do get a semiannual compensation of 5 SP and 50,000 credits for their efforts. These bonuses are referred to as the Summer Staff Bonus and the Winter Staff Bonus respectively.
