Brave Galaxy is set in a world loosely based on Hiro Mashima’s Fairy Tail and Eden’s Zero. It is a PG-13 or so rated space fantasy RP, and uses a combination of character statistics, which can be acquired via roleplaying and events, and creative freedom to help direct players’ characters. While there is a main storyline, which can be found in the events section, characters are free to interact with others and their environment however they see fit.

"I seem to recall having approached you at the Gala, but sure, I don't socialize much," he remarked. "Half of the things I do require the touch of diplomacy, although granted having seen this," he threw his hands up in exasperation, "I can see where your notion might be coming from. I always wear long sleeves, though, to address your concerns."
Though Blitz's later commentary was likely humorous in nature, a ridiculous proposition that wasn't worth the effort it would take to produce, well, he wasn't one to deny such a harmless truth. "Oh, starship fuel tastes like shit," Leo said. Yes, he had gotten a bit too drunk once or twice, or had it been a dare? He honestly couldn't exactly recall where he had experimented with the beverage, only the distinct foulness that had risen in his mouth as Blitz had spoken. "Uh, you probably shouldn't try it though. That's a trip to the hospital even I would have a difficult time bullshiting though." Leo was glad for the meaningless conversation, really, his engagement in it was in the hopes to prolong the brevity, a distraction his mind clung to as it sought solace from the truth. But alas, all things were doomed to come to an end, he knew that well enough by then.
Back, to the discussion of the Ebony Hunters, nonetheless. For a moment he felt like he was no longer in the room, if only based on Blitz's form of address. Regardless, while his point made sense logically, it was obvious that the metal mage had never been to Leo and Eris's house, if one could even call it that. "More like they're too afraid to," Eris replied. "We don't exactly live out in the middle of nowhere, nor is our home unguarded. We'll see when we get there, though." With that, Maescia nodded as she turned to leave, the elf offering a wave and extending a package to Leo.
"I want to see you again if anything happens," she said to him softly.
Leo accepted the box, not even having to question what laid inside. "Got it." His tone was affirmative yet somber, hardened from necessity. "Well, until next time, I suppose." With that, he walked outside into the midnight air, the forest a silent yet ever looming presence upon him. A part of Leo didn't want to leave the fleeting moment behind, yet a greater call was sounded toward the familiarity of a disparate scene. Mindlessly did he assist Eris in their preparations for the flight ahead, content on the nothingness, a task so simple as the clutching of a hose, the synthetic fluid that ebbed of absence beneath. It didn't take terribly long, however, and soon enough Leo faced the windshield of Blackjack, only then noticing the dark splotches present on the controls. In the end, that was all that mattered, they were alive. Whether or not they were well was the secondary concern, he supposed.
Blitz chuckled. "Just teasin' ya. But I'm glad you're taking appropriate precautions. And much like the string on that thing," Blitz said, gesturing to Leo's necklace, "I'm sure it's actually much sturdier than it would first appear to be."
When Blitz mentioned starship fuel being turned into a beverage, Leo made a face, saying it wasn't very good. "Hey, you survived chugging rocket fuel, if I'm guessing the implications correctly," Blitz said with a shrug. "Means we're partway there already, just need to work out the taste. And the whole 'hospital visit' part."
As for their home security, Leo didn't seem bothered by the least at the idea that the hunters might be waiting near his house - in fact, he seemed quite confident that it would be free of baddies when they arrived, making Blitz raise an eyebrow. Under guard was one thing, but Blitz had previous had a castle atop the planet's coldest mountain, complete with security system and even a tamed wyvern, and even he had kept his eyes open when returning home now and then. Can't imagine the state it's in now, though, Blitz thought, scowling at the thought of the dust that must have piled up.
Blitz followed the duo out of the old elf's home, heading back to the ship and waiting inside while they fueled it up, then glancing at Leo, then Eris. How strange to see 'almost dying' be both at the top and bottom of someone's list of concerns, Blitz thought, gazing out the starboard window.

"Heh, yeah... well I didn't exactly go to the hospital so I think we've got that covered," Leo replied with a slight smile, rubbing the back of his head.
With all preparations for the flight ahead made, they only had to confirm the destination in mind. He didn't even give it a second thought, although Eris turned back just as she started Blackjack's engine, addressing Blitz. "You sure you don't have anywhere in particular you need to go?" Waiting for a response, and dependent on it either setting a course for Trillium or another planet, she then let the ship rise above the forest before beginning a steady ascent out of Stella's atmosphere. While Leo had been unconscious for the entirety of their departure beforehand, he had a feeling based on the fact that the windshield was lit up in a continual stream of complaints that it had not gone quite as smoothly. This time around, however, no malicious entities interrupted their jump into the stars, and he noticed Eris slack her grip on the controls immediately after, letting out a sigh. "I don't want to do anything for a while," she groaned, in which he couldn't help but nod.
"Here here, I think it's an about appropriate time to drink myself into oblivion. Care to join us?" Leo asked in Blitz's direction, making a vague gesture with his hand that approximated a cheer. "Or you could make me that birthday cake," he added with a smirk, although an involuntary yawn followed soon after.
His visage reset after a few moments, and as Eris got up from her seat to retrieve a towel, likely with the intent of getting her blood off the dashboard, Leo continued in a more solemn, genuine tone. "Hey, I... thank you. I know this is definitely not what you signed up for, so I guess I... didn't realize you actually cared enough to stick around. If there's any way I can repay you, ever, really, please just let me know." His hands folded inward, a familiar pattern articulated through his fingers as he glanced down at the grooves in the starship's floor. Leo knew he had probably said the wrong thing, but he honestly didn't know any other way to apologize, the guise he all too often spun with his own voice unable to be grasped in that very moment, as intangible as the vacuum of space that surrounded them.
Blitz raised an eyebrow for a moment when Leo mentioned that he managed to avoid a hospital trip, then laughed. "I shouldn't be surprised - as long as you've probably been enjoying alcohol as a beverage, you could probably detox motor oil through that liver by now," he said with a light chuckle.
Blitz followed the two back out to the ship, with a question from Eris that he had honestly might have expected sooner if not for the day's events. Blitz shrugged. "Always been a wanderer at heart to begin with, my house being on the planet that went under from the Blight means I didn't have a place to stay for quite some time, not that I was aware for most of that time, due to the stasis." he said. "As for not doing anything for awhile, that's not the worst idea," Blitz admitted, taking a seat. "Goodness knows we've been through enough in the past couple of days."
Leo, however, seemed to think there was at least one thing to do - rid himself of that pesky thing known as 'being sober', or at least as close to that as his body would allow, given the circumstances. Blitz glanced over at Leo when he offered drinks, then shrugged and walked over. "Ah, hell, why not. Don't exactly have the candles handy for that cake, anyway." he added with a chuckle.
Leo then said something unexpected - a heartfelt thank-you. "If I have something I need your assistance with in the future, believe me, you'll be the first to know. As for sticking around to help, I suppose it's a combination of having little else to do - since most of my previous to-do list items are back on Earthland - and that it's nice being able to spend some time with people who know what old Earthland was like before the Blight." Blitz paused. "Not that I exactly know the state it's in at the moment - kinda why I left in the first place," he said with mild chuckle.

"It certainly does feel like it's been a few days, doesn't it. It's only been one, galactically speaking," Eris remarked wearily.
A sly, almost smirk crossed his visage as Blitz got the closest he ever had to saying fuck it in their company, much to Leo's own amusement. He got up and poured all three of them drinks, casting a suspicious eye toward Blitz's hat for a moment before shaking his head. "There's more where we're headed," he joked, handing Blitz and Eris a glass before sitting back down. For the first time that day Leo decided to actually savor the thing he was putting in his mouth, leaning back in his chair as whatever remained of his etiquette dissipated.
"Well, you're not alone there. It's forbidden for anyone to travel to Earthland; its coordinates alone you'd have to go digging into the Alliance's most classified information for," Leo replied factually, before grinning. "I can't imagine it's gotten any better since the last time we saw it, though." A somber fact, perhaps, but there was a certain solidarity in discussing such matters with those who had actually witnessed it. There was no need for a dire warning, for they understood the consequences of the Blight firsthand, knew better than to mess with forces incapable of being halted. Or at least so he hoped, elsewise he really was going to have to question Blitz's sanity.
"Hey, uh, speaking of Earthland and all, you said you were involved in the Great War, right? Mind if I ask where?" It wasn't exactly a nagging question on his mind, well, simultaneously it was and was not. That was, of course, something the two had in common, although undoubtedly Leo had failed completely and utterly at his duty, which was nonsense anyway, whereas from the few words Blitz had offered his time had been more... successful. Not that wars could be deemed as such in the first place, but it was purely from an objective standpoint that he was speaking. Leo supposed he wasn't really searching for an answer, wasn't entirely sure why he had asked until the words had come out of his mouth, actually. It was familiar territory, perhaps, a burden he carried constantly yet almost comforting in that respect, no matter how deeply seated his hatred was. Regardless, he couldn't help the habit that continued in his hand, although in all likelihood it would be meaningless to Blitz.
"I was wondering about that, actually," Blitz said, glancing at Eris as he got on the ship. "Days are measured in planet rotations, but in a galaxy-faring culture, that concept doesn't really work. So what's the unit of time now for a 'day'? A Solar day? A Galatic Day? I figure they must have some kind of standard unit by now."
Shoop glanced back at Leo when Leo stared at him for a moment with the drinks. "Appreciate the consideration, bub, but without a stomach or taste buds, alcohol doesn't really do much for me."
"And making it so you can get drunk wouldn't really serve a purpose, to be fair." Blitz added.
"Wait, you say that as if it's an option." Shoop replied, glancing down at Blitz.
Blitz shrugged. "The details aren't something I have in mind, I'm just erring my words on the chance it's not technically impossible, just pointless."
While Blitz had hoped that Leo, at least, might have some idea of how their old homeworld was faring, it seemed that not even he was privy to that information. "Classified files, which means restricted access." Blitz said with a sigh and a long sip of his drink. "Guess that means I need to take ranking up in the Collective seriously if I want to earn enough pull to find out what happened to my own house."
Leo, however, actually had a question about the past for him, which was an interesting change of pace. "I was involved in...." Blitz paused, thinking. "My memories are fuzzy from the stasis, but from what I can recall, I was all over the place in that one. I don't even know if the history books even mention the first Boscan War, where they invaded Fiore. As it happens, I ended up being at the first fight in both - I was in Hydrangea when Boscan's laser cannons fired the opening shots, and I was at the Battle of Kaspar Pass where Fiore decided to go on the offensive after that Memorial Incident nonsense. I fought at Hydrangea during the opening mess, then at Poinsettia once we'd properly rallied and began the counter-offensive, then again in Hydrangea to end the first war. Though I was never clear on why they didn't just raze the remaining lightning rods to the ground and let that eternal thunderstorm over the town just fry what was left of the invaders." Blitz took a swig of his drink, continuing: "As for the Second Boscan War, or the 'Great War' as it seems to be known now, I fought in the Battle of Kaspar Pass with the initial offensive, and then later at Castle Reinhardt along the old Fiorian/Boscan border, where that sludge bastard you said was the Blight first reared its head. Everything after that is a bit fuzzy."

That was right, Blitz had the opposite problem most people had, while familiar with the past the present was an unknown. He had more or less forgotten that already, although it was a welcome change. Luckily, though, Eris offered a simple explanation even as he was recalling the man's circumstance. "When traveling galactically, most people measure days the same as years, based on Earthland. If you're a local, though, you get used to whatever particular measurement is used on that planet. It can get quite strange on worlds that have unusual rotations, but it's... functional enough."
The thought that a sentient being was physically incapable of loosening their mental faculties was enough for him to pity Shoop, after all he almost had the same problem, although it more so had to do with volume. "Oh poor hat, you should give him a choice," Leo said to Blitz, before his gaze shifted slightly upward. "Drinking is great, Shoop. I may or may not have a slight problem, ahah." Granted, for the purposes the hat had probably been designed for, getting drunk was probably quite detrimental, but hey it wasn't as if Blitz was working all the time.
"Slight," Eris repeated him sarcastically.
"Hey, you're not much better."
The conversation soon shifted in tone, although Leo suppressed a laugh as Blitz listed his accomplishments during the Boscan Wars, not because he didn't understand the gravity of the subject at hand but more so because he had not taken the man to be so enthusiastic about war out of all things. His tone, of course, didn't portray that correctly, but the fact that Blitz had participated in basically every conflict between Fiore and Bosco he could have spoke volumes of his personality, Leo really hadn't seen him as somebody who particularly enjoyed combat until that moment. Well, maybe a little bit, considering his profession was that of a mage, but to the extent of signing up for a war? That was at least somewhat unexpected.
At least they hadn't met before on that front, well from all Blitz could recall. If he never regained his memory, however, there would be no need to worry about the events following. "Funny, I was only involved in the war past what you can't remember. I really only enlisted because I had been intrigued by the reports at Castle Reinhardt, but evidently I may have gotten in a bit over my head. As silly as it probably sounds to you, I'm really not a fan of large scale conflicts, they have a habit of making monsters out of all men, not just those who deserve the title," he stated. While perhaps his absence of details could be taken as a sign that Leo was lying, for once in his life he wasn't, simply didn't want to disclose his true purpose in getting involved, much less the impact his failure had made.
Blitz listened for a moment as Eris explained how the system of measuring time worked without the original planet it was based on for a reference. "So they adjust it as the situation requires per planet, and use the original Earthland system when there's no planetary body locally to use as a reference point? Kinda reminds me of the old time-zone system back on Earthland, though I can only imagine that that particular system has been discarded outright now. If memory serves, there were people on the fence about it even before the Blight, and that was a full thousand years ago." Blitz said, taking another sip.
Leo also seemed somewhat interested that Shoop technically had the possibility to drink, which Blitz could only chuckle at the thought of. "It's one thing to hang out with someone who's fond of alcohol, but it's quite another to have them perched on your head throughout the day."
"Technically, you wouldn't have do if I could move a bit more easily without having to bounce around," Shoop pointed out.
"We've been over that, too," Blitz quipped back. "Giving you limbs was a bit too bizarre even for my standards, and using your body base as a turbine of sorts would let you sustain low-level flight, but I don't feel like getting an involuntary hair perm every time you feel like taking off on your own."
Shoop snorted - which was an impressive feat for someone without a nose. "Says the guy who openly admits that he's a wanderer."
When Leo mentioned the wars, Blitz told Leo the the abbreviated version of his own time with it, but was surprised to hear that Leo had signed up right after where his disconnect with his memories had left off. Given that he went a bit postal when his seal had an issue, I would have that thought that fighting around others in groups would be a problem, but then again, from how they spoke, the seal having that kind of issue was somewhat unheard of, Blitz thought. Maybe the seal had better functionality back then? Perhaps my guesswork of it eroding over time wasn't far off.
"That's the thing about wars," Blitz said, finishing what was left in his glass with a quick swig and setting the glass down on the counter gently before folding his hands. "The reasons for the wars themselves are simple, like 'Revenge for the last war', in the case of the one most people seem to know about. It's actually acting that war out and implementing it that makes things complicated. Castle Reinhardt was supposed to be a defensive fight to simply keep the border secure, and it ended up triggering the Blight, which made the whole damned planet go under. Stuff rarely works out as clean as you hope." Blitz paused briefly. "What's that phrase some of the knights liked to use? 'First plans rarely survive contact with the enemy'? Professional way of saying 'expect shit to hit the fan', more or less."

Ah, so Blitz hadn't been told the truth, had assumed that the violence he inflicted had been in some act of futile patriotism, rather than the reality. Of course, from the time he had come from such had been unknown, but still it was sad to see someone speak so earnestly a lie. Those in power had truly been despicable, even deceiving their soldiers into fighting a war against one another when king and general had been aligned. "Hate to break it to you, but that was nothing more than an excuse made by our dear King Stefan. He was conspiring with Bosco the entire time, wanted to unite humanity against the Blight, which he had known about far before Reinhardt. Guess his plan didn't work out so well, eh?" Leo said, the sarcasm thick in his voice. "There's always an ulterior motive, with any institution. The question is whether or not you agree with it, or if you simply choose to participate regardless, perhaps even in ignorance. Granted, at least that war wasn't driven by profit as is the case with so many others, but I would really recommend you read up on the events that took place after your memory cuts off, it might help... fill in the gaps."
Of course, he could always ask. Leo had a feeling that it wasn't the time for such a lecture, however, nor did he really want to deliver one of that magnitude. After all, perhaps the man didn't want to know, was afraid of the scenes that could resurface. He thought about that sometimes, how much easier his life would be if he could simply forget certain parts of it, picking and choosing experiences as if they were nothing more than a tree to be pruned. Leo didn't deserve that, however. If his memories chose to haunt him until the day he died, so be it; it was the least he could do to remember. He drained his glass before pouring himself another one, offering a grin despite himself. "Cheerful stuff, isn't it?"
By that point Eris had returned, settling back down into her seat. She gave him a humored raise of her brow, before turning to Blitz. "We'll be there soon, if all goes well. Even if you're a wanderer, it might be best if you stay at our place for the night, Trillium's natural landscape isn't exactly suited for sleeping out in the wild." That was an understatement. Granted, even though Blitz had only visited an urban area of the state previously, Leo hoped that he would understand what she was saying based on the appearance of the planet alone. Had he forgotten, well, it was not long before they dropped to a sublight speed, the icy surface in front of them.
Blitz paused when Leo mentioned the 'truth' behind the Boscan war, Blitz's eyes widening slightly, before turning his head a bit so Shoop's brim cast a shadow over his eyes. The metal mage was quiet for a moment before making a 'tch' noise with a scowl. "Bastard. If he wasn't dead already, I'd kick his ass myself for that one. Though knowing my luck, he'd be as strong as his brother was back during the campaign days before Stefan was elected."
"That one wasn't the best idea, either," Shoop said. "Because if memory serves, you flew over to introduce yourself in person to the guy you wanted to support in the election and try to pick a fight with him for some reason."
"Not a fight, just a sparring match," Blitz corrected. "He was a collector of magical artifacts and had Takeover magic, so I figured I probably had a few things in common with the guy. And it's not like I kicked in the door to his house, I just....invited myself to one of the campaign rallies meant for the higher-ups."
"And somehow managed NOT to cause a national security incident in the process." Shoop said with an appropriate amount of sarcasm.
Blitz sighed and continued: "As for Stefan, I figured he was corrupt from the get-go - wanting to 'enlist' the dark guilds as neutral wasn't exactly subtle - but even that is ridiculous. I'd read up on history books to bridge the gaps, but....are there even any history books left that go back that far?" Blitz asked. "Most back on Earthland went back a few hundred years at best, and were rather vague, to boot."
Around the time their conversation ended, Eris had extended the offer to spend the night, which Blitz accepted. "Normally I don't mind camping out, but admittedly, I'm still getting used to things, so best to avoid ruffling any unnecessary feathers right now." Blitz said, setting his glass in the sink.
