Brave Galaxy is set in a world loosely based on Hiro Mashima’s Fairy Tail and Eden’s Zero. It is a PG-13 or so rated space fantasy RP, and uses a combination of character statistics, which can be acquired via roleplaying and events, and creative freedom to help direct players’ characters. While there is a main storyline, which can be found in the events section, characters are free to interact with others and their environment however they see fit.
Explore the galaxy. Overcome the obstacles in your path. Shape the future of humanity.
There was something very cold, very dead and very flat in Emily's voice. "No. Trust is for weak and stupid people, so I don't waste my time with it, or care what it is."
Nothing was going to daunt Emily, in spite of Leonidas trying to put her off. She just smiled, a feral smile. "I don't care if you can control it or not. That's not really what I want to learn. It's...how you are that I want to learn. Get it?"
There was more in her face now. It was a mixture of incomprehension, irritation and greed and it wasn't a pretty picture. The redhead turned her cold emerald eyes on Leo. "Yes. I have something else to say! I want to be someone who knows how to live with who I am. I want to know how to be...how to be like you are. Ready to kill."
Blood's Tear was in her hand now, wickedly serrated edge on full display. "See! I want to know how I can just stick this in someone and walk away. Do you see?"

Oh, she was one of those people. Yes, Leo was slow to trust. Some would even say he didn't know what the word meant, but those individuals just happened to be those he didn't. How foolish Emily's mindset was, it was impossible to accomplish much anything without the assistance of others, not to mention a lonely route in existence. He knew the emotion better than most, despite what his outward facade presented the memories always begged to be revisited, recalling the lifetimes past and those who passed along with the time. Constants, yes there were, yet both Leo and Eris shared the same sentiment, it was only a result of their reality. How someone could simply throw emotional attachment away and live happily as a result of it, although he had an inkling of an idea as to the motives of such a lifestyle Leo immediately blocked that conclusion from his mind.
He blinked once, then again, almost in a confused matter. Her irrational meanderings, coupled with his... well, for lack of better words, deficiency when it came to moral concepts, didn't exactly make his response to Emily's query eloquent. "That's easy, you just do." Leo glanced over at Eris, searching for a more... empathetic reply, but she merely gave a shrug, that was stupid for him to ask anyway. Unsatisfied with his own words, however, he quickly added onto them. "Look, kid, what I can tell you is if you go around waving a knife out in public, you're going to get arrested. And that is not a pleasant experience, believe it or not."
Eris raised her eyebrows. "Recruiting, I see?"
"What? No, she just walked up to me."
Rolling her eyes, she leaned over and planted a small kiss on his lips. "I'll be at home."
"But you have th-"
"Take a taxi." He tilted his head for a moment before sighing as she returned back the way she came with a small wave. It was at that point that Leo closed his eyes for a moment, resigning himself to the bloodshed that he oh so desperately desired as his gaze refocused on the unknown variable amidst it all.
"Do you say that to everyone you meet? Sounds a bit forward!" Emily giggled at Leo, seemingly not taking him seriously. Eventually she spun Blood's Tear back around and slid it into its sheath.
Her face took on a more focused expression and she shook her head at him before sighing, "Why would I just stab you? I'm trying to learn something from you. I only kill people who aren't useful to me or who are in my way!"
Looking him up and down, she added, "I also don't think you'd just stand there and let me do it. That whole nifty throwing me into the air and battering me up thing is probably a minor example of what you'd do to me if I tried."
Again she glared at him, pursed her lips and sighed in mock exasperation. "All I want is to tag along and see how you do things! Why're you making this so darned difficult?! You know I'm not shutting up until I get what I want right?"
Her hands were on her hips and her lustrous red locks swept across her face. This guy's really stubborn she thought as she stood facing him. Most people woulda just gotten on with it by now but he keeps resisting me. However, the slender young woman could be equally stubborn and this guy brought it out in her. If anyone was going to blink first, Emily was damned sure that it was going to be Leo.

"If I died from a singular stab wound I would be quite disappointed in myself," he remarked, frowning as the girl sheathed her weapon. Why did people have such a habit of backpedaling on their desires? Unless his intent was to deceive, which to be fair it was quite often, Leo didn't merely throw out mindless phrases when speaking about subjects he was passionate about, which, ah, did happen to include the current discussion at hand. It felt... disrespectful, in a way, as if only trying to be dishonest with himself. Not that Leo was great at facing the truth, anyway, but it was the thought that counted, wasn't it?
He chuckled, shaking his head in amusement before it morphed into malice. "Coward. You would definitely shut up if I slit your throat," he snarled, before resetting his tone. "Look, I haven't the faintest idea who you were to me in the past, and given that I don't remember you, although my memory is pretty shitty in general, you probably weren't important. I rather like this city, obviously, I live in it, and there's only a handful of places I can think of off the top of my head that need a bit of blood brought to their doorstep. I'm sure as hell not going bring a girl who could potentially just be out to play the victim, though, and you've done nothing to prove yourself whatsoever other than a few empty-handed threats."
Internally, he could practically taste the sinking steel on flesh, the shadows that threatened to engulf him even at the slightest mention of bloodshed, slipping back into his psyche. But no, he knew far too well the consequences of acting irrationally, the confinement of cold chains wreathed in terrifying nightmares. Not a word Emily had said had truly convinced him, deep down, that she was not merely seeking to exploit, to betray, despite the genuine nature and eagerness of her tone. It was only the result of centuries of wariness and cynicism, and of course there was the well known fact that criminals could rarely be trusted. Leo, well, he lied a lot, that was potentially an understatement, but betrayals beyond those of the ideological category typically left a sour taste in his mouth. There truly was a difference between a genuine relationship and one that was simply coated in veneer, and only Emily's reaction would tell which way theirs would swing.
In response, Emily grinned. "Now that's more like it! Least I know how you really feel."
She 'tsk tsk'ed at him and shook her head. "I don't care if you remember me or not, silly man. It was all a long time ago!"
Something very dark and very ugly danced briefly across the redhead's face before flickering away again. If Leo was looking down, he would have seen her fists bunch up for a moment before she let them unclench. It was quick, this change, but perhaps he would not find it imperceptible, given who he was and how long he had been around. When she finally spoke, her tone lightened. "If you want me to prove myself, give me a chance to do it! I'll do, or not do any task you require of me."
The fire-haired young woman shrugged and added, "No reason you should trust me, but if I do the task you tell me to do, at least you know I'll do that much. C'mon! What do you say? Gonna give it a shot?"
It was strange that this violent young woman ought to be trying so hard to prove her worth. There was something hungry in her green eyes and her sharp face. Something dangerous, feral and bloodthirsty. It was hard for her to contain it, this darkness but she must do so if possible. At any cost, it was important.

That faint trace of rage, the momentary glimpse at her true persona, yes, that was what he wanted to see. Victim, she was obviously not fond of the term. Yet his suspicions were not unwarranted, Emily was a member of no organization that he knew of, nor did she seem to possess any true aptitude for combat, from what he had seen thus far. Flaunting around an admittedly wicked knife still told little beyond she was used to intimidating others into what she wanted, a tactic that didn't work on anybody who actually knew what they were doing. And any establishment they were to infiltrate that night, well, it would certainly be well defended, considering those places that needed to be taught a lesson tended to be in opposition to IMG. And in order to even raise a finger against the corporation, one had to have a fair bit of firepower.
He smirked, crossing his arms even as Emily concluded. Leo's finger tapped against his arm, as if contemplating a suitable task although he had already decided before the girl had even accepted his challenge. The same appendage was raised for about half a second, before a final, silent note struck from his touch. With not a single other movement was a blade drawn, encased in shadows. A simple dagger, unsheathed from his person by magic alone, it was swiftly launched at Emily in a straight line, eye level. It pleaded so terribly to plunge itself into her skull, yet he rejected the desire, postponed it to a later time. Instead, only an inch or so shy of her visage the point halted, weapon dropping down toward the girl's hands.
"Fair enough. I think you know what to do with this, no?"
His poise shifted, hands dropping into his pockets with almost a lazy stance apparent, although in reality he was still prepared for any potential retaliation. It was in a different sense, however, with no weapons drawn nor fists at the ready. If she was not accustomed to violent activities, there would be no way Emily could tell the difference, although he had a gut feeling such was not the case.
Endrnimanz - 4 By wreathing an object in shadows, Leo is capable of levitating it with his mind, travelling at a maximum Speed and Power of 40. He can influence up to 4 non-living objects this way, though their total weight cannot exceed 50 kilograms, neither can items opponents possess that are B-class or greater be manipulated. Once they are 20 meters away, any items fall out of the reach of his dominion. Endrnimanz has a duration of 3 posts, and a cooldown of the same.
If the lean, lithe young woman had been surprised by this turn of events, it didn't really present itself on her face. She simply stood still, watching the blade hovering in front of her deep green eyes as it lowered and she took it her small, but surprisingly callused palm and weighed it experimentally before looking up at Leo with a grin on her face. "Oh. I know."
Without seeming to, her entire body appeared to metamorphose. There was no more silly pirouetting or excited movement. Now everything was smooth and elegant, almost like a dancer. Muscles that didn't seem obvious moved as she feinted towards Leo, aiming a slash at his face that never reached and was instead quickly turned to slice downwards, aiming to bite into the muscles of his shoulder and render his arm useless. It was a gambit that he'd likely avoid but this was, as far as she could tell, a test. Perhaps he'd kill her? Perhaps. It didn't matter. For now, it was a game, albeit a deadly one.
Magic was another possibility here, although she was unsure if now was the right time to unleash it on Leo. It seemed that he was more interested in testing her out as a fighter. In another situation, Emily would simply have thrown that dagger, but he'd just stop it and she wasn't about to allow that to happen. For the moment, her strike had just been made and now the counter would come and she'd be ready.

In that moment, all false pretenses were dropped. From the frolicking, prancing child from before to the trained killer she truly was, what a fascinating evolution. Were she a bit more subtle to begin with, Emily would make a wonderful assassin, perhaps, or even something a bit more... esoteric in nature. Certainly, her reaction speed was a bit slow, but the skill was there; one was far easier to improve than another. As she mounted her offense, however, he still did not draw a weapon of any kind, instead taking a sharp step back at her feint. His shoulder then followed with a backward shrug, a stride taken closer to her as he twisted around. In a scenario where he wanted to harm her Leo would have at that point stuck something into her gut or chest, but instead his left hand flew out of his pocket, attempting to wrap his grip around her wrist.
"Good." His taste ran over his lips, tilting his head for a moment as he evaluated her visage. Depending on whether or not his maneuver had been successful, Leo then let go of her arm, taking a measured pace back although only far enough to remove himself from her striking range. If she thought it a retreat, however, she would be most certainly disappointed. Yes, potential. Beneath everything, that was all he saw. Well, that was all Leo allowed himself to accept, even though the shadows had begun to creep back into his mind. It wanted nothing but ruin, couldn't even accept corruption as a viable conduit for such. Not that Emily was a pure individual to begin with, far from it, she just needed a bit of... guidance.
"You... enjoy inflicting pain, yet you prance around in bars and similar pretending to be a innocent little girl... why, exactly?"
The guy was good. Better than Emily had ever really dealt with and she knew it, so his getting a hold of her wrist wasn't really troublesome for her ego. She simply enjoyed the display of speed and agility that he had demonstrated, knowing that if she kept working with a man like this she'd only get better at doing the one thing she loved above all else. He could be the master she'd been looking for. Not that she wished to be enslaved, simply that the ancient idea of master and student appealed to her now. At least, a master as dark and deadly as Leo would help her along the ultimate path.
There was a dark smile on the redhead's delicate features as Leo asked his question. "How else do you think I find marks? They just need to think that they can...get what they want out of me. Why do you think some predators disguise themselves? I just present them with what they think is an opportunity and then I relieve them of what I want to take from them."
Her luminous green eyes met Leo's and held them. Dark and cold, the reality of who Emily was ran through them. If he had dropped the pretence, so should she. There was no point in doing this endless dance when she could get to the point.

She was certainly a psychopath, if nothing else. Her very essence screamed of violence, yes, now that he finally bothered to acknowledge it. A rare occurrence, for him, but a welcome one, though he knew what he was condemning himself to by even thinking such. So few understood, they could not grasp anything other than society's moral code, a fickle thing in itself. Yet Emily, no, her passion was feral, she let it too quickly consume her, blocked out any true rational. Not too long ago Leo would have simply wrote such off with a laugh, only the result of some twisted naivety, yet now the sentiment writhed within himself, begging to be indulged in all its blackened glory.
Leo pushed away the notion with his speech. "I don't believe I look particularly weak nor do I want something out of you, at least not what you're implying. Regardless, doesn't that get a bit boring? I can't imagine drunken civilians put up much of a fight," he stated, crimson gaze narrowing. There were always those who were reckless, who thought the entire galaxy was within their reach. They believed they could succeed all on their own, thought that no alliance would ever be necessary. It was a foolish notion, reserved for those who were driven by their most basic desires and those who simply believed they were beyond human, or something. Emily, well, she checked a few of those boxes, whether fully or merely incompletely it did not truly matter.
"Why don't you instead put your talent to good use, rise above silly little outings like these? You don't exactly strike me as the type out for fame and fortune, but you must know some would pay a pretty penny for the death of certain individuals, don't you?" Leo asked, waiting only a few moments for any potential response before he continued. "In any case, have you heard of Cardinal Enigma?" he paused, "Oh, nevermind, that's a stupid question. They're a crime syndicate that has a significant grasp on Trillium, an entity that my organization chooses to... negotiate around, instead of facing head on. A couple offshoots have broken away from them, recently, groups that could destabilize this city if they stick around for long enough. There's one nearby, if you catch my drift."
