Physical DescriptionMichael's presence gives off a very strong first impression and his appearance is a distinct one not very often seen in his corner of the planet. The word that would come to mind would be "wild" when seeing him, right down to his mannerisms that dictate freedom, with a hint of carelessness. The most striking part, while also not the wildest thing about him, is his hair. He has thick, kinky-coily hair that smell like cocoa butter, a result of daily maintenance and care. They are styled in four thick cornrows, braided very close to the scalp and ending a little bit after the top of his head.
While his body is one of striking demeanor, his face, though just as rough, sends a more gentle, albeit sly atmoshpere. His skin, a darker shade of cinnamon, is glistening, something one can definitey notice on his face. A face with a strong yet subtle chin, supplemented by a thin beard that carries smoothly from the edges of his face and stops at a short and full goatee. A thick moustache completes the look, with a contrast of brown skin and black hair. His eyes, at times full of rage or mischievousness and at times, almost impossible to read, have a dark, almost pitch-black shade of brown.
For someone who spent most of his life running away from fights and take care of his business on the down low, Michael is surprisingly well built. Following the mantra of "a sound soul dwells within a sound mind and a sound body", Michael has worked since his early teens. "If you're gonna run, sneak, steal and fight, you better do it right!" Although not an extreme powerhouse, his height and size give the
impression that Michael can and will defeat anyone in front of him, something he uses greatly when bluffing. While not extremely built, he has the body of someone who has been moderately working out on his off days for a couple of years. Skin glistening, nails trimmed and slim cut build, Michael is a man who even uses his body as a means to an end.

In rare cases, it is born out a combination of many things, such as personality and imagination. Such is the case of Michael, who inherited the magical powers that never formed into anything concrete until he literally willed it into existence.
"Locke & Key" is a magical ability that, in simple terms, gives Michael the ability to lock and unlock practically anything. While at first it manifested onto the obvious (locks, gates, safes, etc.), it became apparent that it was more potent once Michael broke into a software security system without actually trying. The ability extended to being able to lock and unlock ethereal things, such as movement, selected areas, systems, techniques, spatial surroundings, potential. The extent has not yet been discovered and it is only the beginning.
Whenever the magic is being used, either the symbol of a lock appears on the palm of his left hand, or the symbol of a key appears on the palm of his right hand, all in black. If multiple thigns are being locked/unlocked, the roman numeral will be etched in white in the middle of said symbol.
