Her number? Ridiculous! As if anyone still owned a snail-phone. Though considering she was in a way his dream girl maybe getting her contact info was a good idea. Though Manna figured that was out the window now that Leo had told him to do so. As he opened his mouth to respond Leo dashed ahead in an exceptional show of offense. Wielding his sorry excuse for a sword with a honed fluency he quickly decapitated one of the monsters before turning his attention to the other. Manna watched closely as Leo's magic ripped the second attacker in half with concerning ease. Once again Manna found himself shocked at the prowess of his otherwise unassuming friend.
The girl's explanation of how dreams work was interesting, but Manna couldn't fight the sinking feeling he'd had since she entered the dream. Clearly whatever was going on here wasn't normal."Maybe that's how it works in normal dreams. But this shit isn't normal! I mean think about it- I've never shared a dream with one person much less three. Plus there's something about this place that's throwing me off even more than all the dead shit." Stopping himself with a sigh Manna met Yumi's gaze. "All I'm saying is you can never be too careful. Especially if you can't even defend yourself. You know if I was a worse guy and you came into my dream..." Once again he was ignored as she pulled a sword from the hands of a corpse and charged at the final monster. Well, at least she was enthusiastic.
Watching as the arm of the beast fell to the ground, Manna observed Yumi's struggle to unhinge her sword with a mixture of approval and disappointment. Deciding to help her out Manna settled on how best to ensure her survival. His mother's journal held many different descriptions of spells and techniques she'd developed and while he could not cast most of them in real life, it may be different in a dream. Focussing for a second Manna tried his best to materialize his mother's writing as best he could. Within seconds an aura identical to Manna's would envelop Yumi. The fire was no warmer than a hug and would protect her as well as any high-quality armor would.
"Didn't we just talk about this rushing ahead thing?"
