Brave Galaxy is set in a world loosely based on Hiro Mashima’s Fairy Tail and Eden’s Zero. It is a PG-13 or so rated space fantasy RP, and uses a combination of character statistics, which can be acquired via roleplaying and events, and creative freedom to help direct players’ characters. While there is a main storyline, which can be found in the events section, characters are free to interact with others and their environment however they see fit.
Explore the galaxy. Overcome the obstacles in your path. Shape the future of humanity.

The good old dueling ring. In terms of participation, it had been quite some time since Leo had last set foot in one of the establishments, although in the realm of spectating it had not been long at all. Indeed, he wouldn't have even thought of returning to the sport in any aspect were it not for a rather peculiar request. To compete in the famous although regular Trifecta Tournament, not for the prize but to deliver it to a certain individual. The latter part was really the only reason why Leo and Eris had even considered it, for the person in question happened to be someone they knew and really owed a favor to. Payment was more or less irrelevant, but it didn't hurt when considering a third member for their team.
The answer was obvious, considering their recent interactions with others. Blitz, well, he had expressed his adamant devotion to combat before, and really what better place was there to test one's skills? Granted, the whole nonlethal conundrum was a bit tricky, but it was nothing too difficult to pull off, Tasisia was well known for its excellent medical team if nothing else. If something did go awry, it was perhaps the best place one could be. Leo wasn't planning on that, however, he didn't even want to have to account for such, but nevertheless that was simply how things were at the present time.
Only a short period of time had passed in the challengers' lobby thus far for them, and only a few other participants were presently gathered. As was not uncommon, Leo and Eris happened to be early. Of course, they could have spent a bit more time exploring Taryn, but given their last few outings in Elseima he wasn't exactly looking forward to such and considering Eris hadn't suggested anything her sentiment was likely the same. Beyond that, the room was rather lively despite the lack of people in it, many of their would be opponents chatting, while other teams devised strategies in corners. Given the tournament's status as a monthly event, along with the glances that were being cast in their direction, it was likely that the same individuals competed every time, or at least that registrants were typically more local in nature. No matter, though, given the unusual prize presented more foreigners were likely to show up within the next few minutes, including their teammate.
Blitz stepped through the door into the challenger's lobby, glancing around at the people who would possibly be his opponents in the coming matches - as with any gathering, there were all types, but two in particular caught his eye, as they were the reason he'd been able to sign up for the tournament in the first place. Blitz walked over, waving a metallic hand with a grin. "Howdy, you two." Blitz said, having a seat on a bench near Leo. "I'm glad you two could make it out for the tournament - I didn't know if you guys would be up for this, but the tournament rules wouldn't allow me to register my own inventions as my teammates."
"Which I still say is bloody discriminatory." Shoop grumbled.
"Look on the bright side, it was also the reason they didn't stop me from bringing you along into the tournament," Blitz pointed out. "Anyway, I gotta say, I'm glad I know about this place now - a fighting ring, actual blacksmith forges, and a community understanding of not getting feathers ruffled any time there's a scrap? I'll fit right in around here." Blitz said with a grin.
"I see your old guild roots haven't worn off after all this time," Shoop said, to which Blitz shrugged with a smile. "So, how have you two been?"

They were not waiting long before their teammate arrived, evidently with his talking hat adorned on his head. Blitz seemed to be the same as always, right down to the outfit he wore, but then again what else was to be expected? Leo shook his head ever so slightly, not responding to anything that had been said but his own thoughts. A weak wave followed, although eventually his mild apprehension morphed into a chuckle as the metal mage continued. "We used to participate in these sorts of things a while back, but it's been some time."
Taking into account their last meeting, the question Blitz posed was most certainly a loaded one. With complete honesty, well, the answer was bad, but it was nothing more than a pleasantry and thus the truth was forbidden. Eris offered a shrug, while he gave a small glance down toward the floor. "Fine, all things considered," Leo said, his lack of enthusiasm nearly betraying his words. Almost immediately after, she chimed in.
"Have you found a place to stay yet?"
They would not have terribly long to converse, as the lobby was quickly filling up with challengers. A trio of elves, what looked like a mother and two sons, there were a smattering of people that evidently were not from around the city, given the great variety in appearance and attire. That was good, it meant that their little team wouldn't catch the eyes of anyone in particular, at least at a first glance. Once the tournament began, perhaps that anonymity would dissolve, but judging based off skill wasn't what Leo was concerned with. "So, any ideas for strategy?" he asked, still looking around the room. Most people were crowded around the bracket board, while some were speaking with the personnel of the event, likely either making last minute adjustments to their registration or trying to garner what the prize might be.
Leo and Eris had agreed to help out with the tournament mission - Blitz couldn't participate on his own, what with the 'team' requirement, and they hadn't allowed his inventions to count, even if they were sentient - however, while it didn't seem like Leo was terribly excited about the whole prospect, he did admit that it he'd tried his hand at tournaments before. "Are we talking immediate past, or past-past?" Blitz asked with a smile. "Because from that perspective, it's also been quite a while since I participated in one of these things, and I don't mind trying to make up for lost time," he added with a chuckle.
Leo was quiet for a long moment after Blitz asked what was supposed to be a standard conversation question - 'how are you doing' - but it must have seemed like a loaded question from Leo's perspective, as he took his time answering, and in his standard style, answered the question in a way that didn't really provide any information. Blitz let out a small sigh. "Yeesh, I get that some heavy stuff was going on last time we met, but you can't just it park itself at the forefront of your brain all the time. Heck, I've got a doppelganger that would try to slay me in a heartbeat sealed away close to home, and I don't let it get me down."
"In fairness, you've defeated said doppelganger.....what, three times now?" Shoop pointed out. "If Leo had conquered his unique 'problem' 3 times over and sealed it away for what was possibly for-good, I imagine he'd be considerably more chipper, as well."
Blitz shrugged. "Anyway, I don't have my own place just yet - I'm making arrangements here and there, but for now, I'm staying in one of the spare rooms at the Collective - given that I help them out with missions, makes enough sense that they help me out, though I suspect my 'origins' also added some weight to that decision to let me live there temporarily."

Oh dear. He had forgotten how tied up Blitz was with the past, and while that was to be expected with someone of his background the fact that he applied the same logic to others could, well, get a bit old at times. Unlike the metal mage, both Leo and Eris had lived in the present era for more than enough time for it to be considered normal, in fact on any given day it was a bit of an oddity to even really be reminded of Earthland. Granted, he had never really been able to grasp modern technology all that well, but there were worse things in the world. Leo let out a hmph. "By that definition, immediate. It's only been some time," he answered.
Evidently, Leo hadn't mustered up enough enthusiasm about life in general to satisfy Blitz. Of course, the man didn't know the full story, despite having been there for the brunt of it; other mistakes had been made. Leo wasn't about to divulge such, and thus he merely shrugged. "Old habits die hard. Maybe this tournament can help me forget about it." In truth, Blitz was right, but he didn't want to admit it. Aside, the sooner the subject changed the sooner he could stop thinking about it.
At least the metal mage seemed to be enjoying his hand in life. "Kind people. Or perhaps they just want to study you, the Magic Collective does have a habit of that," Eris remarked, although it was clear in some sense of the word that she was joking. "Anyhow, strategy. Without knowing who we're up against, our best general plan of attack would be to catch them off guard and then strike. I'll hang back and attempt to restrain them in various ways, while you big strong men do the dirty work. Any objections?"
Leo coughed. "Your plan's fine, but please don't ever say that again." She grinned in response, obviously enjoying the moment.
"Oh? I'm glad you're helping with the tournament for my sake, but I'm actually a bit surprised you signed up for a tournament of your own volition - while it's no secret that I'm a fan of combat, you yourself don't seem to get the same 'kick' out of it that I do." Blitz said, linking his fingers together to stretch out both arms to loosen them up a bit.
Leo was, however, admittedly didn't want to talk about it, which itself wasn't a surprise, either. "You know, Leo, the reason I ask questions regarding your backstory isn't because I have some deep-seated need to know the facts, it's more because you either refuse to provide any facts, or tell only enough that it's obvious what any tales you're willing to share have a few holes. If you want to avoid people asking on certain subjects, might I recommend patching those holes with fluff - something detailed, but not 'involved' enough to draw attention. The kind of detail that makes people's eyes glaze over if you talk about it for too long."
"You mean like the look people give you when you get chatty about your tech?" Shoop said with a grin.
"You hush." Blitz grumbled. "Anyway, yeah, been staying at the Collective, and it's entirely possible they're more curious about me and my abilities than my actual assistance, given that I'm something between man and machine from ages ago. Though I've refused - for the time being - to share my weapon tech. Quality of life stuff is fine, but I'd prefer to learn more about the people in this era before spilling the beans on something like that."
Eris opened the floor for some strategy afterward, with a strategy that made enough sense, given the limited intel, though Blitz smirked at Leo's slight cough. "Sounds fair - we'll handle the front-line stuff, you give us support."
