Brave Galaxy is set in a world loosely based on Hiro Mashima’s Fairy Tail and Eden’s Zero. It is a PG-13 or so rated space fantasy RP, and uses a combination of character statistics, which can be acquired via roleplaying and events, and creative freedom to help direct players’ characters. While there is a main storyline, which can be found in the events section, characters are free to interact with others and their environment however they see fit.
Explore the galaxy. Overcome the obstacles in your path. Shape the future of humanity.
"Bit late fer'one but better than never I suppose.~" Legs kicked up, eying over the countless papers of mathematics, chemistry, and bare bones blueprints taped all across her ships walls and control panels, Laelynn cracked open a can of her long awaited, favorite energy drink flavor, taking a deep, long swig. "Strawberry, orange, and a hint of coconut an' pineapple...simply elegant.~" Musing the sweet and balanced taste of the energy drink, her eyes turned around to muse the various notes.
In hindsight, she actually found it pretty amusing. A simple invention idea to covert hydrogen and oxygen into mere water accidentally led to possibly her greatest invention, possibly even worthy of some fancy award with prize money! Then again, that was what science was really all about, where some simple discovery or change in ideas leads to even larger changes and innovations, and the cycle so then repeats, built on the backs of giants, just like herself.~ "Still need to think of a name for this thing though..." Sighing in a lackadaisical fashion, Laelynn sighed, shaking her head. Naming her inventions was usually the hardest part for her, though admittedly part of the fun.~
Yet another hour would pass as Laelynn swapped between sipping her energy drink, figuring out a proper name for her newest design, working on the hardware of the H2O synthesizing device, and answering P.A.L's incessant questions about human nature or other topics, much to her chagrin. Although, the fact her hand built and programmed A.I. was so eager to learn wasn't a bad thing specifically either.
As the sands of time fell, it reached the afternoon portion of the galactic standard time. Yet and still, despite the distractions, that moment of "Eureka" finally arrived! "I got it P.A.L, and must say, I am a genius!~" "Did you find the chemistry data you need to produce water mid flight, Miss Morbane?" "What? Nah, nothing about that boring stuff. I figured out the name for my next suit upgrade!~ Well, the one *after* I fix my stealth system, anyway..."

Muttering the last part of her sentence, Laelynn grabbed one of the nearest blueprints, showcasing an enlarged diagram of a computer chip, Laelynn grinning in a proud manner as she presented it to the camera overhead. "I'll call it...A D.A.T.A. Pack! It stands for "Direct Armor Transformation Adapter Pack.~ Pretty slick, huh?~" "I have no input to give upon this matter." "You're no fun..." Laelynn whined as she pouted slightly in disappointment, having expected praise for her talents. Though, she probably shouldn't have expected anything else from an unfeeling machine who couldn't understand art.~
"Basically, it's an adaption system.~ I can input a chip into my suit, have nanobots use matter that's been sealed into a combat dimension and distribute them, and "bam." Anything I told the chip to make, it'll happen.~" "Fascinating. Will you ever have a use for such a device?" "Yes! Well, no...maybe? I mean, I'm part of the I.M.G. after all, so I can't really be too certain..." Laelynn rolled her eyes and crossed her arms with indignation at P.A.L.'s question, knowing while most of her jobs were technical and quite mundane, some jobs could easily go off the rails, so to speak, luckily not having encountered one like that...yet anyway.~
"Anyway, that said, what time is it anyway P.A.L?" "5:07PM, Galactic Standard Time, Miss Morbane." "Huh, so, a good eight hour day, pretty solid progress.~ In just that time, I worked on a H2O synthesis device that's now half done, started blueprints on something new, and I had time to study chemistry inbetween.~ I really don't understand why companies have entire teams when they could just employ me.~ " Laelynn kicked back on her seat once more, a smug smile on her face, glowing with arrogance and pride.
Sure, larger projects required larger teams, yet despite her age and inexperience, she found herself rarely ever challenged to create something unless she lacked the resources, and even then, she managed to find a way to break through and reach her goal, so, could she really be blamed for that confidence? "Ya' know P.A.L, it's hard bein' this good.~"
"How so is that?" "Well, you probably wouldn't understand P.A.L.~ It's more of a human thing.~" "I see..." "That said, I think I've done enough work today and earned myself some down time.~" At that sentence, a gurgling growl sounded through the ship as it traveled through the emptiness of space, Laelynn's voracious appetite catching up to her once again.
"And you are sure you arn't just saying that because you are hungry?" "S-Shut up P.A.L." Laelynn crossed her arms in embarrassment, tilting her head away from the ship's camera. Surely, hunger was a natural human function, but the timing of it was ill as she claimed how great she was to her A.I companion. "And while your at it, set a course for the closest Kunigi Fried Chicken...please?" The last word uttered quietly under her breath, P.A.L. responded quickly and loyally, as always. "Understood, setting course at once."
After the brief travel time, Laelynn found herself looking at a new dish from KFC, showing visible quizzicle confusing, gently poking her fork repeatedly into a to-go bowl of mashed potatos, fried chicken, cheese, corn, and gravy. "Is anything the matter, Miss Morbane? You seemed excited when you ordered it..." "Well, yeah, just...should corn really be touchin' the mashed potatos, or the chicken? It just seems weird ta'me..."
Despite her grand intelligence, Laelynn was still only a teenager, and one that was never taught good table etiquette due to her mother's unfortunate passing. Maybe this in itself explained her picky, even brattish eating habits, having been hardly denied whenever she wanted something unless it involved her personal budget. Not to mention as an ex-street urchin, her experiences with food was always more...basic, put lightly, so something like this was certainly exotic to her. All were simple foods she had normally enjoyed alone, usually from a can, but all together? Unheard of!
"I don't quite understand but if you don't like it, you have the option to throw it away." P.A.L stated as monotone as ever, in the fashion an unfeeling machine based purely on logic would. However, at this notion however, Laelynn's demeanor changed from one of amused curiosity to one of raw and absolute anger, staring at the above head camera in a completely dead serious manner. "P.A.L, out of anything and everything I've ever done in my entire life, I would *never* waste perfectly good food. Even if it is a bit different..."
Laelynn had done theft, burglary, even accidental arson, but wasting food was a sin so low, she'd never sink to it if she could help it! "Fascinating, may I ask why?" Laelynn only sighed at this, reminding herself P.A.L was but a mere program, and one hardly created, having little knowledge to human plights. "Because, not everyone has equal access to food, some planets and countries on those planets have people starving every day! Throwin'way edible food is a crime even worse than theft!"

"Isn't that illogical, Miss Morbane? You are basing your actions based on a population that isn't relating to you." "I won't argue, it *is* illogical, but a machine like you just wouldn't get it. You get your life on ether and electricity, all provided by me, you're welcome by the way.~ But I won't ever forget the days I *was* part of that group. That's why I take the idea so personally." There was only a minor silence occured as Laelynn opened up her side container of gravy, pouring it into the meal bowl in excess. P.A.L. for a moment was unable to comprehend an answer, but if anything, this new tidbit of knowledge did explain Laelynn's gluttony to them, even as an unfeeling machine.
"I was not aware, you have my sympathies." Laelynn's eyes only tipped upwards at that, stirring the gravy into the bowl of chicken and potato's, raising her eyebrows in curiosity. "Please P.A.L.~ I never finished your empathy chip yet, it's not possible for you to feel sympathy." "Correct, but I've compiled enough data about humans to understand the concept."
Laelynn paused from stirring her meal for a brief moment, jaw frozen open as she stared up to the camera above, confused, yet fascinated. Despite a lack of true empathy, P.A.L. understood the meaning of it, which brought up so many question. Could an A.I. learn human sentiment without a specialized chip? What was the difference between understanding and feeling? What was the cognitive definition of sentience, anyway?
To that end, Laelynn only took a deep sigh, yet smiled ever so slightly, half proud of her work, and half sincerely grateful. "Well, for what it's worth, I appreciate it P.A.L.~" "Understood." With that, Laelynn dug into her first bite of the meal, her eyes lighting up in awe, as if having experienced a religious moment of nirvana. "T-This..." "Is it not to your liking Miss Morbane?" "No, not that, it's amazing!" With reservation thrown out the window, Laelynn immediately dug in, having a new appreciation for mixed foods.~ Certainly a well earned meal as well, considering the work she did for most of the day.~
Taking another bite of her meal, the crunch of fried chicken echoing through her ship, and Laelynn quietly enjoying herself in a rare moment of solace and bliss. She normally pushed herself constantly, even her days off involving constant stress and work, caused either from the I.M.G, or from her own devices. Yet, that was arguably part of her career as an aspiring scientist!~ There was never any room for rest in the face of progress after all.~ But yet and still...even genius' needed breaks after all, right?~
With that, Laelynn silently pulled out a pack of spicy habenaro, cheese sauce from her hidden dashboard counter, pouring it into the meal bowl she had. "Hey, P.A.L, I got'an idea, wanna' hear it?~" "An idea? Of what kind, Miss Morbane?" "Oh, it's a simple one but I think'ya may like it P.A.L.~" Laelynn smiled in a cheeky manner, quite interested to hear P.A.L's response. Even if they declined, it would provide great data on the evolution of her little project's advancements.~
