Reputation System
Reputation, or REP, are points that are gained from threads, missions, arcs, and RP based events. They are determined by the amount of influence a character has on the setting or characters (both PC and NPC) in a particular thread. REP determines the rank of a character while inside an organization, although does not necessarily correlate to them not being well known if a character does not have a lot of REP, as things such as being a founding member of an organization or related to some leader are not factored into REP. Every character starts out with 0 REP, and gains it by RPing. Note that a certain SP earned is also required to rank up, however theoretically such is usually achieved before or around getting the required REP. A character with the REP required for the next rank but not the SP will often be treated at in IC level as the next rank in terms of fame, although they will not be able to accept the appropriate missions or other benefits. After Rank S is achieved, a character's REP will still continue to increase, and in general if two characters have the same rank the one with more REP will be better known, although if one character comes from something like a wealthy family they will obviously have the advantage within a general populace. Please note, for the purpose of roleplaying, most organizations do not specifically use the ranking system of D to S, and instead have an equivalent with more fitting nomenclature or a structure that roughly fits OOC parameters. These specific names can be found within each organization's write-up. Gaining Reputation:
*A meaningful interaction is defined as interaction between two or more characters that takes up at least a page throughout the entire thread. Note that this doesn't necessarily have to be a continuous page, especially in regards to events. For NPCs, including companions, this limit is extended to at least two pages. **For Legacy Characters that have met on FTG or on the Discord server, count first BG thread together as this. ***Environment refers to both the literal physical environment of a thread and the PCs and NPCs within the thread.

Organizations
An organization is a group dedicated toward a specific purpose, whether it be on a galactic or smaller scale. They are joinable by PCs, and by being a member of one a character will almost always have a greater ability to influence the world around them. Organizations provide both IC and OOC benefits, the IC ones being the aforementioned and also more reasons to interact with different characters, and the OOC ones being a character in an organization can take missions and gets discounts on items and companions. For the sake of events also, organizations are a part of them and by extension a character can have greater impact on events by being a member of an organization.
Major organizations, those being the ones that are not in the "Added Organizations" board in the Encyclopedia, give all members a 20% discount on items and companions. For minor organizations, the discount is only 10%, although the creator of an organization can petition for it to become a major one. Major organizations also include the militaries of the various countries with sub-boards. Their rank structure follows that of the ISC. - D-class missions affect the environment on an establishment level. They reward an additional 3 SP and 6,000 credits and must be at least 3 pages long.
- C-class missions affect the environment on a settlement level. They reward an additional 5 SP and 10,000 credits and must be at least 4 pages long.
- B-class missions affect the environment on a city level. They reward an additional 7 SP and 14,000 credits and must be at least 5 pages long.
- A-class missions affect the environment on a regional level. They reward an additional 9 SP and 18,000 credits and must be at least 6 pages long.
- S-class missions affect the environment on a planetary level. They reward an additional 11 SP and 22,000 credits and must be at least 7 pages long.
