Brave Galaxy is set in a world loosely based on Hiro Mashima’s Fairy Tail and Eden’s Zero. It is a PG-13 or so rated space fantasy RP, and uses a combination of character statistics, which can be acquired via roleplaying and events, and creative freedom to help direct players’ characters. While there is a main storyline, which can be found in the events section, characters are free to interact with others and their environment however they see fit.
Explore the galaxy. Overcome the obstacles in your path. Shape the future of humanity.
A planet located in the Outer Regions that is in the slow, slow process of burning itself out, Ignis Vorago (known more commonly as simply 'Planet Rupture') was torn open by some massive impact many, many centuries ago, exposing the normally buried mantle and more molten layers to the surface. Over the course of many more centuries, the planet will eventually burn itself out as its core temperature continues to slowly drop, along with the surface temperature along most of the planet - whatever caused the fault-line to appear also shifted the concentration of heat and thermal layers within the planet itself, creating a situation where it's too hot to survive for long near the fault itself, but far too cold if you venture too far, as the heat rushing out the gap is no longer providing warmth for the places it once lingered below the planet's crust. Some even theorize that the impact threw the planet of its normal orbit and rotation around a nearby star, and that the fault-line is actually along what was once the planet's equator.
It has no real population, as the narrow band of 'livable' terrain in terms of temperature shifts as the years roll by, making permanent structures nearly impossible due to the constant fluxes in temperature along the surface of the planet. The rapid shifts also tend to cause bouts of wild weather such as tornadoes and storms with alarming frequency. The planet is home to a single moon, but affects no tides along the planet, as any ocean over the fault has long since boiled away, and any too far from the fault have frozen all the way to the ocean floor, making any water still in liquid form a rarity at best. In long-term assessment, the planet will likely be mined for resources once its core finally cools and solidifies completely, but until then, it remains an interesting sight in the void of space.
