Her hair is of a platinum blonde hue, embellished with tints of honey and trimmed an inch or so above her rounded shoulders in a layered style. Similarly, her face is akin to a rounded heart, with a smooth yet noticeable jawline and just barely pronounced cheekbones. Reign's skin tone is somewhat pale, although due to her light hair color it seems a bit darker than would otherwise. Her complexion is rather uneven, consisting of cheeks and nose more sun kissed than the rest of her visage along with the general wear and tear that tends to come with living in an inhospitable environment for some time. [break][break]However, all these particular flaws are overshadowed by the discolored and withered patch of skin spanning from the top of her face on the right side to her upper cheek. The burn is further accented by a series of lacerations that cross over her eye socket in random order, as if a madman decided to take to carving up her vision. Indeed, while her left eye is colored a faded slate, Reign is completely unable to see out of her right. Although it opens and moves about as normal, the milky film over the iris and pupil, making both appear to be a slightly bluish cream, easily exemplifies this fact. Due to this, Reign tends to cover the area with her bangs, though she has an attachment to the what many would consider horrendous disfigurement. [break][break]Facial features aside, the woman possesses a petite frame, with moderate yet relatively symmetrical curves and legs slightly longer than her torso would suggest. Her limbs are well defined with muscle, although in a spindly way spared from excessive bulk, and likewise her abdomen is lacking excessive fat but isn't what one would consider rock hard, per se. Overall, Reign's physique is best described as athletic, although her usually slumped posture contrasts this. In general, despite her moniker, her default expression seems to at least be that of apathy, if not defeat, a fallen face, dropped chin, lowered gaze, and shuffled steps being the most prominent evidence, present in her day to day life. [break][break]Attire: Layers. Reign usually isn't seen without multiple varieties of clothing on, both a habit from her homeworld and its contrasting but typically cooler environment and due to the fact that space, an intermediary she is often found travelling across, is even more frigid. [break][break]When out on an excursion that could turn up interesting, which is most of the time, she typically wears a gray bodysuit reinforced with ether to double as armor and adorned with a series of holsters and sheaths depending on what weapons she's carrying for the occasion. It cuts off just above her wrists and ankles respectively, although she will often wear gauntlets that match its color to counter the former and plated boots for the latter. On top of the suit Reign usually wears a jacket of some time, her most common choice being a black long coat secured by a zipper in the front, although she doesn't always have it done up, and with a few pieces of leather trim embroidered on the back. She has a variety of other accessories that she sometimes wears as well, from scarves to vests with almost anything considered fashionable in between. [break][break]That being said, in more civilian environments Reign can be found sporting an even more diverse wardrobe, more often than not attention drawing to anywhere and everywhere except her face. She will also often wear an outfit simply because it is comfortable, whether it be a hoodie and jeans or t-shirt and sweatpants, typically when she is in a less than great mood or isn't trying to look impressive. One thing that is consistent throughout nearly all of her apparel is that she doesn't directly cover up the scarring on her face, merely attempts to draw attention away from it. The one exception to this is with formal wear, in which she sometimes wears a decorated half mask with no eye slit. In general, Reign tends to wear pantsuits or other ensembles not involving skirts or dresses when dressing up, spanning most of the color spectrum. [break][break]Reign also, to little surprise, has a gray flight suit standard to pilots of the Elseimian Navy, along with a standard gray uniform bearing the Khinsan insignia of a blue shield with a wolf, and a formal royal blue one with the same, although more ornate, symbol stitched in silver onto a singular cloth pauldron by the left shoulder. Unless on Elseima, however, or on more official business for the military, she is rarely found wearing anything indicative of her allegiances, or at least anything clearly visible. [break][break][break]Personality[break] Somewhat ironically, Reign has never caught the attention of most, her outward personality the quiet, hard working type, although most of her accomplishments are at best mediocre. It is easy for her to go unnoticed by many, even with her disfigurement, and for that reason Reign often is assigned to more clandestine missions, despite her moral opposition to it. That being said, she is willing to do almost anything for her clan and country, or at least in theory. In practice, however, she has been proven breakable, although perhaps such differs now due to the same reason. [break][break]Indeed, Reign generally acts with etiquette when speaking with those she doesn't feel comfortable around, most often being strangers but also to superior officers and individuals representing rivaling factions or ideals. With the latter, the term uncomfortable usually translates as uneasy, as she has developed xenophobia to an extent given past experiences. Most prominently is this uneasiness displayed around those who are not entirely human, or at least who appear to be such. As a matter of fact, uneasiness it probably too light of a word to use in such situations, as she is more often than not terrified in the presence of anything decidedly alien. [break][break]While she has always suffered from a lack of self esteem, in recent events this has developed into full on self deprecation, as Reign harbors great guilt due to the fact that she, in her eyes, betrayed the Khinsan clan. The rigid code of honor and respect that was to a degree indoctrinated into her has a core place in her persona, and she expresses such beliefs to a higher degree than many other Khinsans, though as much as she wishes this were not the case it is very much a thinly veiled visage, or at least she thinks. In reality, her mind and worldviews have been twisted as a result of breaking the one thing that had ever given her confidence, the Law of Ehr. [break][break]On top of this, Reign also suffers from post traumatic stress disorder, and although she is rather good at hiding the symptoms from others it's undeniable that such has a daily impact on her life. On almost all occasions she carries medicine with her despite the fact that her doctor advises against it, along with painkillers for her eye. A bad habit, she knows it, but still anything is better than nothing. There are only a few things that make her feel put together nowadays, the first being flying with Havoc Squadron, especially with her best friend Revy. It has always been her passion, after all, to take to the skies, but even that has been clouded with past memories, making her question her identity even more. The second is her interactions with her sister Verity, who she infallibly looks up to as a role model, though their relationship has grown distant thanks to circumstance. [break][break]More than anything, it is obvious that Reign is just a soldier looking for redemption, whatever that may be. She has always been to a degree lost, uncertain, confused, but now it is present more than ever. Whether or not time will heal her wounds, both the metaphorical and the literal, or let the infection spread remains to be seen. For now, her actions suggest she is just barely maintaining her sanity by a few threads, pushing onward with each duty pressed upon her in a mechanical pattern, barely living at all. [break][break][break]History[break] Born the second daughter of the well respected Evren family, Reign's early life was for the most part uneventful, her mind and body occupied with schooling and reverence for both the Khinsa clan and her elder sister Verity. Their parents were often absent, it being a tumultuous time for Elseima, and as a result Reign viewed her sister, older by a full eight years, as a role model. Trailing behind in her footsteps of excellence, she was always compared, and as a result invariably looked down upon. Her reaction was never anger, however, more so a deepening veil of solitude, only pierced by her few friends, most of whom either didn't know who she was or, later on, were outcasts of society themselves. [break][break]That being said, she swore to uphold the law of Ehr at age thirteen, and took it quite seriously, as was typical of her clan. At the ceremony, her kin was reunited for just a spare few days, memories of celebration and genuine happiness Reign would eventually cling desperately too. For, after that brief time, they were all shipped back off to a distant war, even if it was waged just miles above her head. She moved into the academy she was already attending alone, and from there directed the wrenching emotion of abandonment into her studies, determined to show her parents she was more than the disappointing child. [break][break]She never had the chance to speak with them again. Verity returned home within a year delivering the grim news, their parents had perished on the battlefield in an attempt to rescue captured allies. While they were successful in breaking through the fortifications in which they were being held, the only remains of the prisoners found were mutilated body parts and blood. On the way out, they had been ambushed, more than half of the squadron falling in combat. [break][break]Nothing was the same thereafter. A sense of disconnect began to form between Reign and her peers, and as for the bond between her sister and herself, it fared far worse. Verity became obsessed with serving her clan, in a futile attempt to block out the event she had coined a miserable failure. Reign was the only one who could see it as the truth it was, though. Her sister advanced in rank, all the while Reign continued to fall behind, having to support herself at the academy. It was just shy of her graduation at sixteen that the head of Khinsa died of an unknown illness, and with it lay a vacancy in the time of war, a perilous thing indeed. [break][break]Much to her surprise, Verity was nominated by the elders to replace the late leader, and while initially she was reluctant, eventually she agreed to run and ended up winning the position, despite some opposition to her age but praise of her sound military tactics. And thus, at Reign's graduation she was alone, a leaf swept up in the wind of change, passed over by everyone and everything, including the Auberen, a magic like force that seemingly allowed some Elseimians to tap into it. [break][break]Or, at least, so she and everyone else thought. Her life proceeded on rather normally at first, aside from the initiation into Khinsa's military forces and the occasional recognition, and subsequent attempt at political bribery, of her blood ties to Adelein Khinsa, although those who were close knew better than to mention it. Reign was assigned to a squadron of starfighters, tasked constantly to either providing air support on the ground or defending transports travelling to and fro Elseima's moon and shipyards. H7 was her designation, and her squad, coined Havoc for their habit of being far more independent and disorderly than normal, grew quite close, a fellow member one of Reign's longtime friends, Revy Kallis, and the others quite similar in their positions of underdogs. [break][break]Fighting in the Silent War, it was often that Havoc Squadron had no idea what their assignments were or when they would be called back into the air, and so they developed a rather improvised method of carrying out missions, ones that often revolved around working in pairs with constant encrypted communication. Reign and Revy were more often than not partners, and they were nicknamed R&R, something that still sticks with them to this day. For the most part, despite their constant scuffles and combat flights, the core members of the squadron survived, although many now bear scars, burns, and blunt trauma typical of pilots who have served in the line of duty. [break][break]Reign, however, is an exception to this. Shot down by the enemy and their foreign technology, she managed to survive the crash relatively unharmed, but putting up a weak defense as scavengers assaulted her she was captured and brought to one of their many treacherous encampments. There, as the tension of war pressed the mysterious and inevitably losing abductors, she was neglected, left in a claustrophobic prison cell to die, at least until one got the idea to interrogate her, in which it was ruthless. [break][break]They drew scarlet lines with a knife, painful yet reparable at first. Malnourished and weak already, the young woman did not last long, soon spilling every secret they wanted between gasping and sobbing breaths. Treason, of the highest order. Still, Reign would do anything to make it stop, the awful beings behind their masks and cloaks the most cruel she ever experienced. Execution was better than it, anything was. It wasn't as if anyone cared who she was, anyway. Yet, her torturer took more, their blade transforming into a hideous being of chaos. It ripped her flesh and sight apart, into a bloody haze soon clouded over and then to darkness. From there, her other eye flickered shut, her consciousness slipping away. [break][break]The next time she woke everything was in disarray, although the pulsating agony she experienced didn't help her perspective. The sound of firearms discharging, and ships roaring overhead, told Reign that the encampment had been discovered. Unable to move from her restraints, she waited in the same tiny confines, flinching every time an explosion was heard and cowering in the back as feet thudded across the hallway in front of her. Soon, though, the battle died down, and the iron door to her cell swung open, revealing a figure dressed in the Khinsan uniform blue, Verity. [break][break]Hospital lights then flashed into her vision. Again, her sister was there, waiting by the bedside as if she didn't have more important things to attend to, that which Reign knew she did. The war had drawn to a close, Verity announced, after the aliens had scattered their forces and subsequently were annihilated. That was it. A few hugs and a long discussion later, she was gone, at least for the time, although every few days she returned. Occasionally, a few members of her squadron dropped in, but they were still busy gathering more information about who exactly Elseima had been fighting all this time. [break][break]Treated for infection, serious burns, and numerous lacerations, the doctor soon delivered the news that she would never see out of her right eye again, and immediately offered a solution in an advanced prosthesis. Reign politely declined, for the time, as the internal tumult within her scorned her previous cowardice and such punishment seemed only right as she hadn't even confessed. The same went for scar revision, in which the doctor insisted but over and over she resisted, until he eventually gave up. It was tradition, after all, not just her stubbornness, to keep an "unforgiven" mark. She was released from the medical bay after a few weeks, and resumed more mundane duties with her squadron, mostly prepping their fighters as she hadn't been cleared for flying, much less that of the military scope. [break][break]After a few months of peacetime, Reign rejoined her squadron on reconnaissance-type missions, as a result of both increased tensions between Elseima and other galactic powers along with the wariness of strange beings starting to make contact with human civilization. At present, Havoc Squadron is often split up, only having radio communications from vast distances to stay in contact, and going undercover for more than a few assignments. Her experiences constantly haunt her, along with a general sense of disconnect from the world, one she has never felt before. Her piloting skills have been severely hampered by her injury, but nonetheless Reign tries to make the best of it, pushing herself far beyond her doctor's recommendations along with ignoring most others' concern. [break][break][break]Equipment & Items [break]Elseimian Energy Model QXD8 Semi-Automatic Rifle “Oculus” [ᗅ] - While capable of being used as a standard rifle, Elseimian Energy’s QXD8 model was designed for the purpose of being a multifunctional sniper rifle, with a barrel 24” long and a total length of 42” including its stock. While it comes with a scope detachable from the weapon, Reign almost never configures Oculus with it off. On the contrary, while she does have a tripod for the weapon, rarely if ever does Reign attach it, preferring the middle ground when it comes to versatility. The weapon itself is highly accurate, utilizing 7.62mm bullets with a maximum effective range of 150 meters. It is black in color, to aid in stealth, and weighs 5 kilograms total. Elseimian Energy 7.62mm Boat Tail Hollow Point Magazine [ᗅ] - Elseimian Energy’s 7.62mm line of ammunition is specifically designed for the QX line of rifles, this magazine in particular housing ten bullets with precision and accuracy being their highest concern. Reign uses this magazine in particular for Oculus. [break]Elseimian Energy Model N2E Semi-Automatic Pistol “Suspension” [Ɓ] - A firearm produced by Elseimian Energy, the N2E is reserved for usage by military personnel, at least when it isn’t found on the black market. The barrel is 10” long, the handle perpendicular to it as to not extend the length any further. It utilizes 9 mm hollow point bullets in magazines inserted from the bottom of the handle, and can fire at a maximum effective range of 75 meters, weighing 1 kilogram. Suspension in particular is hued obsidian, it possessing no extra markings that would make it stand out in covert operations. It has been adapted to be able to be fired with only one hand, a rather low recoil being the factor in this, though such has not compromised its capacity for death. Elseimian Energy 9mm Hollow Point Magazine x2 [Ɓ] - Compatible with many types of small firearms although particular adapted for the N2 line of pistols from Elseimian Energy, a single magazine holds six hollow point bullets specifically designed for their stopping power. Reign in her case uses them for Suspension and Expulsion, their ammunition being interchangeable. [break]Elseimian Energy Model N2E Semi-Automatic Pistol “Expulsion” [Ɓ] - A firearm produced by Elseimian Energy, the N2E is reserved for usage by military personnel, at least when it isn’t found on the black market. Reign in her case uses them for Suspension and Expulsion, their ammunition being interchangeable. [break]Cobalt Emblem [C] - An heirloom passed down through countless generations of her mother’s family, the Cobalt Emblem has fallen into Reign’s possession after Verity gave it to her upon her sister becoming Adelein. While its meaning has fallen into some obscurity, the aptly named cobalt dagger’s history can be traced back to the founding of Elseima, although Reign doubts that her family is truly connected that deeply to such event. Still, she keeps it hidden from others in case someone does recognize its significance, as the weapon was believed to have been lost long ago and to shatter such falsehood would be more than detrimental to her family’s name. [break][break]The Cobalt Emblem is 11” long, with a 7” blade and 4” handle. Its design makes it clear that it is more so an ornamental piece of art rather than a killing machine, although certainly the knife is still deadly. The blade is tinted blue as if made with an exotic gemstone, not to mention being rather oddly serrated and possessing a geometrical pattern. The hilt of the dagger is also innately detailed, depicting the head of dragon in silver. The handle of Emblem is of a hue of blue akin to that shown on the blade, with a silver spike protruding from the end of it. Overall, the dagger weighs about a half a kilogram, and comes along with a leather and silver sheath that serves little to no purpose other than to protect the blade from damage. It is able to requip items Reign possesses with a 2 post cooldown every time this effect is activated. [break][break]Eggsy Ruins Everything, A Trilogy [C] - A set of three small, porcelain eggs, contained within a leather pouch. Each egg is painted with different springtime designs and colors on it, and the pouch regenerates lost eggs between threads. Each egg has its own effect, which can only be used once per thread. Upon shattering, one egg will produce a smoke screen 10 meters wide obscuring the vision of all those with an Acuity of 30 or less for up to 3 posts. The next egg produces a shield that can block up to 1 instance of intense damage, and has an area of 2 meters, with a duration of 3 posts. The final egg generates an explosion with a 5 meter radius, dealing intense damage to those caught within its blast. She is also a member of one of the families that still practices Boscan with no outside influence, and is fluent in the Elseimian variant of such. As part of the Khinsa clan, she holds honor in the highest regard, and can recite all of the tenets of the clan with spot on accuracy. Perhaps less telling of her skill but still important to note is her connection to the Elseimian government due to her sister's position, something that although Reign tries hard to deny it is impossible to do so. [break][break]Pilot - Reign is an excellent pilot, or at least she was until her injury, having extensive military training in the skill. She has also flow plenty of combat missions as a result of the Silent War, being a part of the Havoc Squadron mainly tasked with being fighter escorts during the conflict. Now, the group is more focused on reconnaissance, and as a result of these two different operations Reign has picked up a knack for both the covert and direct types of flying. She often combines them together, and considering most dogfights don't happen where there is no cover whether it be larger ships or celestial objects, Reign tends to use her environment to her advantage. In terms of flying ships other than fighters, she is more than competent, although she dislikes bombers due to their, in her opinion, clunky controls. [break][break]Sharpshooter - While it was never her primary focus in military training, with its similarity to piloting in requiring good sight and general observational skill, Reign has always been pretty decent at sharpshooting and general firearm usage. With her recent injury and inability to fly anything for a period of time after it, however, she honed these skills into what would now be considered above average. As well, Reign has had a lot more experience lately with missions outside of the cockpit, leading to further growth. She prefers to keep things at a distance with a sniper rifle, but when in closer quarters Reign doesn't hesitate to dual wield pistols meant for such purposes. [break][break][break]Scourge of the Auberen[break] Ad infinitum, or at least in theory. In reality, Reign's ability to channel the Auberen is spotty at best, especially in light of recent events. At present, she isn't even aware that she is what is considered an Auber, an Elseimian that can harness the force of similar name, although considered cursed as she was not selected at sixteen and her abilities have been present far before that age. Reign's particular affinity is to space, and while she has only ever been able to sense space and the objects that make it up theoretically the Auberen could allow her to manipulate such in various forms like teleportation compression and decompression of mass. However, unlike true magic, she draws power from an outside force, the Auberen, and at any time that force can block her out, making her abilities spotty at best, especially since such has a conscious of its own and knows her transgressions against her clan. [break][break]For now, Reign mechanically has no magic. I will add to this flavor description some actual things in a future mod when she does get it. [break][break]History [break]Born the second daughter of the well respected Evren family, Reign's early life was for the most part uneventful, her mind and body occupied with schooling and reverence for both the Khinsa clan and her elder sister Verity. [break][break]Equipment & Items[break] [break]Elseimian Energy Model QXD8 Semi-Automatic Rifle “Oculus” [ᗅ] - While capable of being used as a standard rifle, Elseimian Energy’s QXD8 model was designed for the purpose of being a multifunctional sniper rifle, with a barrel 24” long and a total length of 42” including its stock. [break][break]Magic [break]Ad infinitum, or at least in theory.

Brave Galaxy is set in a world loosely based on Hiro Mashima’s Fairy Tail and Eden’s Zero. It is a PG-13 or so rated space fantasy RP, and uses a combination of character statistics, which can be acquired via roleplaying and events, and creative freedom to help direct players’ characters. While there is a main storyline, which can be found in the events section, characters are free to interact with others and their environment however they see fit.
