Brave Galaxy is set in a world loosely based on Hiro Mashima’s Fairy Tail and Eden’s Zero. It is a PG-13 or so rated space fantasy RP, and uses a combination of character statistics, which can be acquired via roleplaying and events, and creative freedom to help direct players’ characters. While there is a main storyline, which can be found in the events section, characters are free to interact with others and their environment however they see fit.
Explore the galaxy. Overcome the obstacles in your path. Shape the future of humanity.
Alright everyone, you know what this is: a character interview, baby!
That means answering the questions AS your character(s). And it's encouraged to use that premise to the fucking MAXIMUM! Wanna be difficult? Go for it. Wanna be sincere? Take a lap! Wanna fumble through the entire interview and make an ass of yourself? AT YOUR LEISURE! Honestly, i just think these things are fun! In the end, it's up to you how you play it. But if you have any questions that you think might be good additions, I'm always down for suggestions~!
ANYways~
For this one, I figured it might be fun to do a little bit of a scene. Seems like a bit of a laugh. If you don't feel like using it, just pop down to the next post and take a look at the survey, itself.
SCENARIO
A woman sits across from you, a stern expression on her face. She seems severe... but not actually holding any sort of malice. She's simply watching you intently, as if trying to stare into your very soul. Her watery blue eyes scan your entire body, committing every trinket, weapon and seam to memory. To her, you are a puzzle. And for the sake of her work, she has braved far more terrible creatures than you... you can see it in her face. However, in a moment, she realizes her rudeness and jolts upright, her glasses slipping halfway down her nose, an apologetic expression plastered across her face as she sputters out platitudes-
This, is Madeline Keyes: The Archivist.
Some years ago, Madeline began work on a great book: A modern history of the Galaxy. A work that, truly, can never be completed. Yet, Madeline continues writing... And now, she has found you. She seems to know you, if only by name and reputation. And she found you absolutely fascinating. After all, you are one of the great movers and shakers of the modern Galaxy. A kingmaker. A destroyer. A hero. A villain. Or something in between. She wishes to add your story to her record, and commit your deeds to the history books.
She leans back, tapping a lachrima device which beeps and whirrs. She's recording now. She leans forward, a clinical expression crossing her face. Once again, it seems like she's a completely different woman. And this one only wants the facts. Yet... what she wants to know seems... strange. Almost benign at times. But, in a moment, she would randomly snap from idle curiosities, into questions that feel... deeply personal. She barely seems to care about much of what you had done, and more about... who you represent.
Suddenly, you realize it... You're not being interviewed.
You're being profiled.

Laelynn only signed having found herself in a type of interview, gripping her melon soda, but yet, she heard a rumor that those who participated got some form of credits as compensation. She normally tried to keep a low profile, yet somehow, word got out on her technical prowess and skill, for better, or worse. So, here she was, answering these questions with the hope of a few credits.
Would you like something to drink?
"No thanks, I don't accept drinks strangers, sides', I brought my own."
Please, take a seat. We'll be talking for awhile.
"Alright, I intended to anyway."
Would you care to introduce yourself, for the record?
"Name's Laelynn, Laelynn Morbane.~ By the way, it wasn't a lie that there's a credit reward for doing this, right? Because I was told there was, and I wouldn't be here otherwise."
Are you a morning person, or more of a night owl?
"That's a matter of relativity, I live on my ship, so night and day are kind of meaningless concepts."
What was the name of your first pet?
"I actually never had a pet, well...do A.I's count? I got P.A.L back on the ship, made-em myself.~"
What was your education like?
"Well, my mother taught me the basics, literacy, arithmetic, the like. Everything else? I'm a self made gal.~"
Are you more likely to use your fists, or your words, in an argument?
"I'm pretty sure a high voltage taser is more efficient than both those options."
Do you have any siblings?
"Nope.~ Me mum and dad died pretty young."
Do you believe in destiny?
"Well, I'm a scientist by trade, soooo, no.~"
What's the first thing you notice about a person?
"Their capability, usually. I don't see a reason to associate with people that are incompetent."
Do you give people second chances?
"Iunno.~ Guess it really depends on the transgression, but I'd probably try. There's nothing logical or productive about holding onto grudges."
Where did you learn to fight?
"Learn? I kind of go with the flow, street fightin', ya' know? Although...Uncle Leo did show me a bit about swordsmanship, but I'm still learnin' there. "
To what end do you do what you do?
"Not really sure what you mean bout' that.~ If you mean why I do what I do, it's simple. I'm a scientist, someone needs to work towards the future, after all."
What's your worst habit?
"P.A.L would say it's how much fast food I eat, but they obviously don't understand the nutritional needs of a genius.~"
Other than the Organizations, do you have any sources of income?
"Not really, no, I mean, Uncle Leo and Auntie Eris helped me out but I'm tryna' be my own employer these days.~"
Who was your first love? What happened to them?
"Psssh.~" Laelynn rolled her eyes at the question, shaking her head with a smug smile. "My first and only love is science, I don't have even one millimeter of interest in dating."
Where did you spend your childhood?
"On the streets mostly, and usually hungry might I add."
When you get sick, are you stoic? Or super whiny?
"I'm like, super stoic, nothing gets in my way.~"
Are you a good liar?
"Iunno, I wouldn't say I'm that good of a liar...~" Laelynn grinned smugly as she replied in the most casual fashion, intentionally betraying her words outwardly to keep Madeline wondering. Sometimes, it was fun just messing with people.~
When was the last time you cried?
"Probably was when my mom died, didn't really know how to react..."
In three words or less, describe your fighting style.
"Logical and quick."
Do you think money can buy you happiness?
"I always hated this question, it's an illogical paradox to push a philosophical ideal. Of course it can't buy happiness, but it can buy tons of things that make people happy, that's just logical."
Are you a good cook?
"I really don't see the point in cookin' when I can just have someone do it for me, saves me time ta' work on my projects.~"
Who was your Mother? And what did she do for a living?
"She was a mage, very patient...very kind." Laelynn trailed off for a moment, bitter memories of the past long surpressed rising back to the surface, though just for a moment. "She was kind of like...an antique dealer? She bought, sold, and repaired magical thingies, which was a service hardly found in Elseima."
Are you superstitious?
"Superstition is for the ignorant, I'm above that as a scientist."
If you decided to settle down, what kind of job would you take?
"Probably a university professor, good pay and I can take summer and winter off to play video games...Also, those research grants.~"
An orphanage is on fire and the children are trapped inside, what do you do?
"Iunno, really depends. I may try to help, but I'm not going to stick my neck out for'em. If they want to live, they should push forward, just like I did." Laelynn sighed in response. She herself was an orphan, but she learned early you had no one to rely on as an orphan. Sink or swim, that was the way she learned about life.~
And finally
The local money lender just foreclosed on an orphanage, and now his home is on fire and he's trapped inside. . . What do you do?"
"Let'em burn, fuck'em, unless that have a reward that's good enough anyway.~"
