Brave Galaxy is set in a world loosely based on Hiro Mashima’s Fairy Tail and Eden’s Zero. It is a PG-13 or so rated space fantasy RP, and uses a combination of character statistics, which can be acquired via roleplaying and events, and creative freedom to help direct players’ characters. While there is a main storyline, which can be found in the events section, characters are free to interact with others and their environment however they see fit.

Physiology
General Description: Cambions are often very similar in biological appearance to humans, though some differences are noticeable upon close inspection. However, some Cambion are readily identifiable, which has led to many of them being mistaken for full-blooded Demons. The lucky amongst them are able to hide their heritage and blend in with the humans and elves of Earthland. Cambion appear to age at the same rate as humans, with sufficiently old members of the race becoming almost skeletal near the end of their lifecycle. Though Cambion with elven descent often remain in their physical prime well into their nineties.
That being said, there are certain aspects which are common signs that a person is actually of Cambion descent. These physical differences seem to be unique to each Cambion, as opposed to falling along familial lines, leading many Cambion families to appear quite different from one-another. Such differences include, but are not limited to:
Skin tone: Normally, Cambion skin is reminiscent of their human/elven ancestors. However, some Cambion have been shown to take on strange hues such as red, green or grey. These changes have been known to deepen or mellow with age, though many find that their unnatural hue is a permanent feature of their skin.
Eyes: Cambions tend to have eyes with strange, otherworldly colors: purple, red, gold and white are not uncommon. Sometimes, this even manifests with glowing irises.
Teeth: Depending on the race of demons the Cambion hails from, they may also show signs of demonic teeth. This could be as simple as a mouth full of sharp teeth, but other variants have been noted. Some Cambion have developed several rows of teeth, while others show exaggerated fangs or tusks.
Hands/Feet: Likewise, different demon races may have effects on the hands or feet of the resulting Cambion. This can be seen in the form of claws, most commonly, though some Cambions have scaled, bestial or otherwise inhuman extremities.
Transformation: Cambions are unique, in that, when they use magic, their demonic attributes are often heightened for a short time. This heightened state normally manifests around where the spell was channeled/cast from, altering it to more closely resemble some aspect of their demonic heritage. This seems to be entirely cosmetic, as even those Cambion who become covered in scales or bone seem to be just as vulnerable to attacks as in their normal state.
However, sufficiently strong-willed Cambion are able to resist these transformations.
History/Culture
The Cambion race is not to be confused with half-demons. While pure-blooded Demons still exist in the Galaxy, it seems that their offspring with Humans and Elves are distinctly different from the Cambion race, due to various differences in physicality and ability.
The Cambion race actually traces their roots to Earthland, itself, being the result of an ancient exodus of Demons to Earthland, over a thousand years ago. While a large number of the demons were malevolent, there were many who simply wished to escape their tumultuous home for the stability of Earthland’s realm. Some of these peaceful demons went on to create lives for themselves alongside the people of Earthland, starting families with the native population. Their resulting children marked the first of the Cambion race, though over the centuries, dilution of their demon blood has resulted the Cambion looking far more human than their ancestors, who were met with fear and suspicion, in their own time.
Cambion of today tend to hide their heritage, with varying degrees of success. While people today do not fear the Cambion, there is still a latent mistrust of their race among less educated people, who see them as tricksters, deceivers and rogues. Most Cambion are quick to dismiss this prejudice, but others have embraced them, turning into dangerous, conniving beings who would do anything to advance their own agendas. Those law-abiding Cambion tend to look down on this criminal aspect, claiming that it was tarnishing the public opinion of their people.
Many Cambion families choose to live on the fringes of society, often in rural areas or near small towns. Others have deigned to take to the stars, living in massive off-world caravans. Due to the close familial bonds present amongst the Cambion people, as well as their longevity, it is not uncommon for upwards of five generations of a family to live in close proximity to each other, forming a minor community in its own right.
