Brave Galaxy is set in a world loosely based on Hiro Mashima’s Fairy Tail and Eden’s Zero. It is a PG-13 or so rated space fantasy RP, and uses a combination of character statistics, which can be acquired via roleplaying and events, and creative freedom to help direct players’ characters. While there is a main storyline, which can be found in the events section, characters are free to interact with others and their environment however they see fit.
Explore the galaxy. Overcome the obstacles in your path. Shape the future of humanity.
It's time for 2020, and I promise I won't make any terrible jokes about it, perhaps. In the world of Brave Galaxy, it's 1002 UC, after all, far less exciting, isn't it? Regardless, I've got a simple event for all of you, something I'm sure you expected. That's right, it's time to write the things we never actually end up doing, but for our characters, New Year's Resolutions! This is pretty simple, write three resolutions for your character, somewhere between a sentence or two is all I'm looking for though you can write more, and claim 3 SP and 6,000 credits. As per usual, the event will be open through the month of January, so get writing!
Jak mulled over the question for a moment, not really sure how to answer. Julie was always sending her random questions... it was her way of keeping in touch, making sure Jak knew she was doing alright, even if she never wanted to answer any questions of her own. Normally it was just random questions about her day, or life: did you remember to eat today? Did you catch any crims? Did you sell that junker of a ship, yet? She never knew what kind of thing Julie was gonna ask, but she knew the question would come in sometime on a Wednesday.
She supposed... she could try working out more? Jak normally prioritized cardio, and didn't really bother much, if at all, with weightlifting... so maybe that?
And... She guessed it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to try and mend fences with Dalton... They were close, before she joined the ISC... And even though he was a total prick... Jak did miss him.
Jak poured herself some cocoa, a couple marshmallows floating jauntily on the dark waves of chocolate. When she took a sip, she suddenly became aware of a pain in her side... or rather, the fact that she didn't have a pain in her side. How long had she just... been dealing with it? Just content to suffer through the minor annoyance, for no other reason than stubbornness? And was relieved of it only because she decided she wanted to drink something sweet, which just so happened to also be a magical healing elixir?
She sat in front of the monitor, her fingers clacking across the keys.

What's your New Year's Resolution?

I have a few
this is a bit of spacer but I guess my #1 new years resolution is to stop being so hard on myself
er
So, the New Years Resolutions are:
Start working on strength training
Try to patch things up with Dalton (at the very least make an effort)
Allow herself to relax and stop trying to make everything more difficult than it needs to be

"Augh, this is so annoying!" Laelynn tossed her hex wrench to the side, falling back into her work desk chair, casually relaxing her arms along the sides of the captains chair, carefully staring back at the complex, muddled circuit board she was working on. "It shouldn't be this hard to make a personality chip..." Of course Laelynn would be frustrated. Compared to her past, she was used to making grand inventions off the parts she stole from others. Yet, for a bit now, she had been living an "honest" living with the Intergalactic Mercenary Guild, but the jobs she took were simple, safe, and honestly...paid little. She didn't have the funds or resources to invent like she used to.
"I never thought I'd say this, but I miss Elseima....." Sighing deeply, she reached over to a near by bag, pulling out a Kunigi Fried Chicken brand sandwich, friend chicken and mayo specifically, taking a bite and looking off into the distance as her ship traveled to the next job, metaphorically aimlessly. Simple jobs like information tapping and data hacking just weren't to her liking, it lacked...something. When she thought about it, sure, her life on Elseima wasn't glamorous, hell, it was the opposite. Sure, she had to survive day by day, sometimes starving, sometimes hiding from the authorities, but it was never a dull day, and she was never "too" poor when she pulled an all nighter heist.
"This would be so much easier to make if I could get my hands on some cyto-gel..." She mumbled, grabbing a few fries from an old bag of Kunigi Fried Chicken, dipping them into a small packet of ranch and taking a bite. "Miss Morbane, according to my biometric scanners, your lipid intake is higher than recommended for human consumption..." A mono tone voice spoke out from the computer, only causing Laelynn to raise an eyebrow in response. "And this is 'exactly' why you need a personality chip, you're no fun..."
"My primary objectives are driving the ship and observing your biometrics, fun is not part of my prime directive." The A.I. responded, cold and monotonous as always. Laelynn shook her head, giving an even deeper sigh. "It's fine, I need a lot of fuel, more than most people, so just chill, alright?" "I do not have the capability to reduce my own temperature, Miss Morbane." Laelynn facepalmed, gripping her temples and rubbing them gently, attempting to figure out how to deal with the A.I. Sure, she upgraded it, but it was as dense as ever.
"Miss Morbane, your cortisol levels are rising, shall I dispatch a mood reliever?" Laelynn shook her head, just remembering how exciting things were on Elseima. She hadn't even had the materials to fully fix her suit lately, all from just trying to live an honest living. Maybe it was simply genetic, but the fact of the matter was, a clean, simple life didn't suit her, and she was starting to realize that. "No mood relievers, but instead, do a database scan. I want to find Cyto-Gel, specifically a sample of three kilograms or more with low security." "Understood." As various lights on her computer began to flash and processors whirred, Laelynn stood up, approaching her suit with a small smile, placing a hand gently on the still smiling helm. "We've been going straight for too long, I think it's time to go back to basics...~" The smile on her own face grew, and for once in awhile, she was feeling a thrill considering her next heist in a long time.
