While, across the Galaxy, and its many planets, the Harvest is a constantly-occurring event, there is one week in particular which has become a galactic holiday, owing to its mystical significance. While many are far-removed from the actual spirit of the season, the smell of pumpkin spice, freshly cut hay and warm, autumnal colors seem almost ubiquitous in this time. While the yeoman of the farmlands celebrate their bountiful harvests, leading into a time of repose amidst the lifeless chill of the winter months, many others find themselves evoking tales of the macabre and strange, owing to the season's nature as a transition between the worlds of the living and the dead. As such, this event is a little different. Instead of having a writing event, or a giveaway, this month, we have BOTH~! Writing Event Enjoy the Harvest! All you need to qualify for this event is to submit a thread which takes place during the Harvest festivities, somewhere across the galaxy. Topics submitted for this event must be started within the month of November, and feature some aspect of the Harvest festivities, in whatever form that might take. Some may find themselves at a party, celebrating the season, while others might find themselves fighting against a foe who is taking advantage of the weakened barrier between the worlds of the living and the dead. Submitted topics must meet certain requirements to count towards completion of this event. Topics do not need to be graded to be eligible for full rewards. Because of the long-form nature of this event, the writing event will be continuing until December 31st. Completion of this event will net any participants 10 SP and 20,000 Credits. While you can submit as many threads as you wish, each character is eligible to receive rewards only one (1) time, per this event. Incomplete threads can still earn rewards, so long as they have at least one half of post requirement, and will net 50% of the completion rewards to any participants. Post requirements are based on a "per participant" basis, and are as follows: 1 Poster: 14 posts 2 Posters: 10 posts each 3+ Posters: 8 posts each Giveaway Event This event is very simple, pick a candy of your choosing and receive the reward inside - with a modification of course. For your convenience, the wrappers even have labels on them, what an amazing (and drug-free) concept. These reward are claimable until November 30th, so don't take too long to decide! Rewards can only be chosen once per character. Chorus Peanut Cluster: 5 SP! Delicious Durgo Daubs of Delite!: 20,000 credits! Boscan Freeze-Dried Großer-Ice Cream: 15 REP!
